Advice on free Kids meals and such... ?

I'm going to Disneyville on Boxing day for 16 days with my better half and her two boys who will be 10 and 12 when we travel. We are staying at the Windsor Palms Resort on West US 192 in Kissimmee, an area I know well as I usually stay at the former Fourpoints Lakeside, now a La Quinta property.

I'm a seasoned visitor to Orlando (20 or so visits now) but this is my first trip over with kids as part of the party.

So what I'm wondering is which restaurants in the area have kids eat free promotions or discounts that we can take advantage of ? I know the likes of Ponderosa do it, but even with those types of places, which we are more than happy to use, I dont know the age limits/rules, etc.

I'd also be interested in any specialist (non-chain) restaurants that give discounts/free meals for kids, and in any info on other discounts for families and kids that might be available to us.

Any advice/information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

For the most part these children will be considered adults in most dining establishments. Kids usually are 10 and under on most menus and 12 and under on the more generous ones. Kids eat free only with coupons/on certain days and usually not at this age.

Once you check in , grab a little coupon magazine that is usually called Orlando Values, or Coupons.. something like that. These are usually in a little basket by the door.. or go into a store you will also find them there.


In this magazine, I found kids eats for 99 cents at Houlihans,(we used that one), and others as well. Those offerings change a lot, but a glance through that magazine may help


Do a search here, and find the FREE McDonalds coupons.. (note: these are selected ones, but it is still FREE kids food, but not a happy meal)
