Hi there,

We are from the Midwest and have traveled to WDW 3 times and stayed at BLT. We are a family of 5 and our oldest is 6.5 years old. Have never been to Disneyland so looking for advice on how many nights to go. We also plan on seeing other California attractions, Lego Land or Universal.

Thanks!

I think 3 days is pretty good for DL - 1 day for each park and then another to catch anything you missed or want to repeat. Now I can happily spend more days there but 3 days is a good start especially if you've never been. It's been years since I've been to Universal Hollywood so I'll let others comment but I'd allow a day each for Universal and for Legoland.

We are heading to DL for March break, staying at VGC. We plan to get the 3 day park hopper tickets, and then have plans to do some other touristy stuff in the L.A. area the rest of the week.

Did you know there’s a Disneyland section here on the DIS? Scroll way down the Forums page until you find it. It was very helpful to me when I was planning our 2016 trip there!

Since you posted this on the DVC Resorts thread, is it your intention to stay at the Villas at the Grand Californian? I ask because VGC is a tough get unless you own there. . .not impossible but tough. If not, then you might try posting this on the Disney Resorts thread and/or, as suggested, the Disneyland thread. As mentioned, lots of good info there (and on the Resorts thread). I, too, agree that three days would work. Can you spend more time there? Absolutely! However, you can get quite a bit accomplished in three days given there are only two parks and they sit a 2-minute walk away from each other. Good luck!
