advice on disney hotel discount

I got some great advice and help from some of you regarding discount and special codes for disney hotels.
Someone gave me a code that we used and booked in DAKL
for 5 nights Dec just gone and had a bargin of a deal! Anyway i am now on a mission to organise our summer 2008 holiday to disney and i am wondering if any of you would recommend another disney hotel to try (only for 4/5 nights).
When would be a good time to start looking for special codes and where do you find them. I know that i'm too early yet, but i'm thinking maybe to look around oct 07 for discount or prommotional codes for july/aug 08

It's not something I know a great deal about - although as an AP holder I have used codes a few times - but the last time I looked, over on that board they were still waiting/hoping for codes for this summer, or free dining to be announced.

Seems to me that the best deal for those going in August was the free dining option that was offered by UK tour operators last autumn (where you had to book before a certain date).
