Would love to get some feedback on the following ADR's for our Sept. trip:

D = Dinner
B = Breakfast

Thur) - Kona Cafe OR Holly & Vine (fantasmic pkg) (D)

Fri) - Boma (B) @ 7:45am

Sat) - Garden Grill (D) @ 5pm

Sun) - Crystal Palace (B) @ 8am

Sun) - O'Hana (D) @ 5pm

Mon) - Maya Grill (D) @ 5pm OR ESPN (D) @ 4pm OR Trail's End (D) @ 5pm

Tue) - NO TS for today - Wolfgang Puck Express for CS (D)

Wed) - Le Cellier (D) @ 6pm

Thur) - Big River Grille (D) @ 8:30pm

Anything you would change? :confused3

Thanking you all in advance - you guys are THE PROS!!!! :thumbsup2

Personally, I would swap your breakfast at Boma's for a dinner. This is assuming you are a slightly adventuresome eater (ie, not just a "meat and potatoes - nothing else" kind of eater). Our breakfast at Boma's was good - but our dinner there was great! :thumbsup2

I might consider swapping Garden Grille for one of the more unusual Epcot restaurants. Morocco? Italy? France? Japan? Especially since you have at least one other character meal at Crystal Palace. You could review the menus at these restaurants and pick one that appeals the most.

And if you're going on a non-busy night, I'd think about going to Kona Cafe for dinner on your MGM night instead of Hollywood & Vine. The latter gets ok reviews, but Kona Cafe almost always gets awesome reviews. :cheer2: You could dine early, right at 5, and then immediately go to MGM around 6:30 or so . . . take the Polynesian bus to MGM . . . and get stake out your seats for Fantasmic. I'm guessing that during that time of year your timing should be just fine.

HTH?

Thanks for your input! I know that Boma would be better for dinner and I did have an ADR scheduled there originally but I changed it due to the fact that it will be EMH's @ night for AK and by keeping our original 5pm res. @ Boma, we would hardly have any time there...I really want some great night shots at AK.

Crystal Palace was booked for the sole reason of being able to be admitted into MK BEFORE it's open!!! Photo ops of EMPTY Main St, USA and THE CASTLE could not be passed up!!! Garden Grill is the ONLY Character meal we have not been to, I've heard great reviews about it so I thought we'd give it a try.

We thought about going to campfire/movie night @ Ft. Wild., hence the Trails End ressie (now we've decided to skip it this trip), Maya Grill if we were going to resort hop, but now we will be at Cor. Springs for boating on another day, SO I will definitely call today and hope to get a late lunch res. @ Marrakesh!!

Kona Cafe is a go, so I will also cancel my Fantasmic pkg. @ Holly&Vine for our 1st night. Would rather watch 'Wishes' and Elec. Water Parade from Poly on our 1st night instead of battle the crowds for busses after Fantasmic!! Plus, as you stated, Kona seems like a fabulous place for dinner!

So now we'll have: Kona (D); Boma (B); Garden Grill (D); Crystal Palace (B); O'Hana (D); Marrakesh-hopefully (late lunch/early din); LeCellier (D) and Big River Grille - outdoor Boardwalk table on our last night.

If there are others who have also tried some of these places, I'd love to know what you thought of your meals!

Let's see...

I'm a big fan of Kona Cafe for all 3 meals so I would pick that over H&V. However ifyou need to do the FDP that night, I guess Kona wouldnt be a good option.

LOVE Boma for breakfast. There is a great variety and everything is delicious. After breakfast there I don't need to eat for the rest of the day.

I really like Ohana but have not been since the menu change. Its a nice atmosphere though.

ESPN is another one of our favorites. Great nachos! :thumbsup2

Sounds like you have a great plan, seriously! :thumbsup2 We absolutely loved 'Ohana last trip and are returning this fall. Marrakesh was fun too, because - unless you live in a MAJOR metropolitan area, how often do you get to go to a Morrocan restaurant? It's a beautiful place, and we thought the food was quite good. You certainly can't go wrong with Le Cellier - we're going back there this trip and can't wait! And we too are trying Crystal Palace for the first time this fall with an 8:00 am reservation, so that we can get into the MK before it is open.

Have a wonderful trip, and happy eating! :wizard:

We're staying at BWI, so I've done my homework on the BW area places. I would suggest you do ESPN or Spoodles instead of Big River Grille. I've read too many negative things on Big River to take a chance, especially since there are other choices in the same area!!

I would agree with TigerKat re: Big River Grill - i'm not a very picky eater and am easy to please, but i found this place to be sooooo mediocre - Spoodles is defintely better - I've never tried the ESPN Zone...

We had a really bad meal at Big River (food, service, etc.). Our waiter was rude and service was extremely slow. We will never go back. Have heard great things about Spoodles. My best friend went last month for the first time and loved it! She said the main reason they loved was everyone that worked there was so very nice and accomodating. Enjoyed the build-your-own-sundae also!

Your other choices are some of our favorites! You'll have a great time.

We love Kona and we are trying Spoodles for the first time next month. It looks like you have a good variety built into your plans :) Le Cellier is another of our favorites!
