In Aug we booked a Grand Gathering for 11 people- in July on the 180 day mark I booked all ADRs (6 total). Yesterday 1 adult and 1 child that were not going to be able to make the trip can now come, making us a party of 13. I am very happy the will be going just worried about ADRs.
I called Disney dining last night 4 of the 6 reservations only seat a "12" we are getting 3 tables of four. Which makes us 1 chair short at 4 meals. Should I worry? Or will this all work out? The lady on the phone did not act like I will have a problem since we have so many children.

Has anyone ever shown up to an ADR with an extra person?

Worried and stressed here- I want things to be smooth....:scared:

Reagardless of what the CM said about how many people the tables 'hold', the question is did she change the dining ADRs to reflect the addition of 2 people? Then it isn't showing up with an extra person. The "shouldn't be a problem" doesn't instill confidence to me... I would really want to have the ADR reflect the number of places set at the table to avoid any problems when I arrived.

We have 13 going for a week at Thanksgiving, and 15 on 2 days of those days. Since they were late additions, I couldn't add the extra 2 to 2 of our ADR's no matter how many times/people I tried. There simply wasn't room.

I would call the Grand Gathering department, not just dinind, to see what they say. It shouldn't be hard to change your numbers this far out for most dining. (Sorry I don't have the number handy, but call Dining and ask to be put through to the GG CM.) Either the GG department or the group dining (more than 13) actually looks at the layout of the restaurant to place the large groups.

It will take that pressure off of you to know they are added to your ADRs.

PS-- Have a wonderful time!!

She could not change some of them  so we will be showing up with extra people hoping for the best. Should I call back at a later time and see if there is openings?

First of all, I wouldn't stress about it at all. I just cancelled some ADR's for our group of 13 during Thanksgiving week, so things do open up closer to the date :) I would call every week or two or whatever is comfortable for you. I assume she changed the ones she could, and I agree with your plan of action-- change what you can and just take everyone to the others and smile bright :teeth: when you go up to the podium. We may be doing that once or twice ourselves...

Again, be sure you are talking to the Grand Gathering people, they have told me that they and Group Dining are the only ones who can make the changes to the large group ADRs, although the 'regular' CMs have been lovely about cancelling and checking GG ADRs I already have when I have called about ADRs for just 4 of us.

Good luck--enjoy and do not stress about it, it will all be good:thumbsup2
