ADVICE ON CABIN LOOP?

I know that recently one of the cabin loops was taken away and I think this is the loop I was going to request.

When we went camping, I think we were in the 1400 loop and I loved it because we were right across from the pool area. I'd like to be close to the main pool area again.

Any advice/pics?

They are (or rather have) taken the 2100 loop off of the "Cabin" roles. All indications are that it will be a preferred loop.

If your criteria is closeness to the pool (Main one) then 2200 loop is the choice.

Not sure what all you are looking for so it could make a difference. Is it Privacy, Access to the bus, Proximity to the pool by the cabins, etc... what are your concerns of what you are looking for.

We stayed in the 1400 loop last time (Nov/Dec 2014) and we did like it's location to the Pool, the meadows, the comfort station, etc... We were in 1401, so the bus stop was right outside our site but, for us, the traffic noise wasn't a bother at all.

One HUGE thing for me is I remember when we went tent camping in August of 2014 we took a ride out by the cabins so I could see what life on the other side was like. I remember some of the grounds surrounding the cabins just being buried in water. Being a Floridian, all I could imagine were bugs. So, I guess my #1 requirement is the cabin be on higher ground with good drainage. After that, I'd like proximity to a bus stop, maybe a cabin or three away, so this way the boys have quick access to the buses and I have quick access to the road so I can get to where I want to go. My 3rd preference would be as centralized as possible. I am looking at the 2200 or 2300 loop right now.

Unfortunately, I think the "Drainage" issue could be an issue in every loop and is more specific to the individual sites. (Thinking that the loop could have a Low side and a High side that could be a factor). That being said, you would then have to request a specific site (or range of sites) and those requests are not as likely to be honored as much as a "Loop request" might be. Sadly, I do not have enough knowledge of the cabins to say for sure on that subject.

We saw some loops with better drainage than others. Some loops were bone dry while others were soggy. I wish I could remember now which was which. I'm interested in 2300 because of it's small size.

Just left Cabin 2323 today. It's about 7 cabins into the loop from the bus stop. Easy walk to bus stop and high and dry. Did have a nasty little yellow jacket that got me and left a few itchy spots. Other than that, we loved it and our mousekeeper Francisa. Good luck! Family of 6 and we love the cabins!

Our last trip was in loop 2100.

I am strongly leaning toward the 2300 loop because of its size. I remember it wasn't very exciting, but I thought it was quaint due to being the smallest loop. Thanks for the report, I think I will request 2300 loop and ask to be at the front or end of the loop!

That's yellow/deer flies and we even have them here at my own house. Nasty buggers! I got one bite on the bridge from 600 loop to the pool, but actually got 5 more on the Boardwalk this past Saturday.... They stick around all summer and are alot worse of a bite than mosquitoes as my sister had to go to the hospital years ago due to them at FW on one of July 4th trips.

Saw them hauling some cabins away in April. No idea they were taking them away permanently.

I requested the 2300 loop and to be near transportation so hopefully that gets me to the front.

The 2800 loop is now closed for refurbishment. The cabins of loop 2100 are indeed gone. Funny thing is you can see those cabins parked somewhere near the Transportation and Ticket Center.

Our last stay was at the 2500 loop which is also a small loop, close to a bus stop and the small pool.

Is the 2300 loop completed for refurb?

They are (or rather have) taken the 2100 loop off of the "Cabin" roles.

1) ALL the cabins have been removed from the 2100 loop.
2) They were purchased as a single group.
3) There are a few still left in the lot at the STOL airport across from Space Mountain.
4) They are in the process of converting these to campsites - planned ready by Christmas.

Been looking at the map and now I am toying with the idea of 2500 loop due to the pool. However, the boys will likely go to the main pool and I figured 2300 gave us a quicker out to the action.

I just want to be sure of my decision, do both 2300 loop AND 2500 loop BOTH have bus stops?

2300 is at a bus stop. Really it seemed that the cabin loops were all very close to bus stops. I think 2300 and 2400 share a stop

Well, I don't want to be at the loop that has to "walk" over to the stop. I want to be at the loop that the stop is in the middle of. I remember when we went tent camping the bus stop was right at the edge of the loop and we were the first site in so I could see my son get on and off the bus.

Cabin 2330 is what you want. Right across the road from the bus stop.
