My brother has some friends who are going to be in Orlando for 3 weeks in a villa and he wants to go over just for a week or 10 days to join them.
All he needs is his flight and spending money....money's a bit tight so I've been trying to help him to find a cheap flight on the internet/teletext etc....he's not bothered about which airline but would ideally like to fly from Gatwick, going to Sanford or Orlando Int.
He wants to go between the 4th and 10th of October.
I'm getting a bit bogged down looking on the internet and wondered if anyone knows of any cheap flights or could point me in the direction of a decent site? I've always gone package or bought full price flights myself so I don't really know where to look!

Thanks

Lindsey

i usually find travelocity is very good, if you just put in October it will tell you the cheapest fligths for that month and you can select dates etc.

or, if he really isn't bothered he could try Priceline, he will probably have to change on the way, but it could be very cheap.
You don't get to pick timings or routing, but there aren't that many options on the way to Orlando anyway.

I agree with Bev, the cheapest option is to try priceline.

However, if you try www.airline-network.co.uk, you'll find they have a few flights to Orlando for under £300 (plus taxes). They are probably not direct though.

thanks for your ideas....still looking- didn't have the guts to use Priceline! Felt a bit wary about giving them free use of my credit card! It's a good idea though- has anyone used them before?

Hi,

Have used priceline before but only for car hire. Another site worth a try is www.expedia.co.uk. We have used them before and they came up cheapest on flights from Manchester.

Also check www.cheapestflights.co.uk. Who have come up trumps for us in the past.

Happy hunting!!

Ebookers have had some great deals recently it's always worth giving them a call.

:D Hi Lindsey,

Another vote for www.cheapestflights.co.uk :bounce:

We used them earlier this year and we've used them for our next flight only in Nov(never had any problem)

Good Luck Lindsey,

thanks again everyone...we eventually found a few flights for about £300 but there were no seats at all during the week that he wanted to go...he's ended up buying a ticket through a travel agent, I think with American Airlines, for just over £400, stopping at Chicago outbound and New York coming back.

I feel a bit sorry for him as we bought full price tickets in advance this time last year with Virgin, flying direct, for about £350 each. So much for leaving it till the last minute and getting a bargain!

But he's very happy to be going and I'm very jealous!:D
