Advice on Afternoon/Evening Touring

I've read a lot about what parks to go to and what parks to avoid on what days in the morning, but I'm wondering if there is a different strategy for afternoon/evening touring. Because I will be going during a busy time (April 1-7) and because I have a very young child (16 months), I am hoping to arrive prior to the official opening each day but go back to the hotel around 11:00-Noon and then return to a park in the afternoon/evening for 2-3 hours. For example, would it be a good idea to go to an early entry park that afternoon/evening with the idea that many "early people" would have already left? And since I do have a little one and won't be able to stay that late should I avoid parks that have EMH that night as more people would be in the park? And are there certain attractions/activities that should or shouldn't be done in the afternoon/evening because of waits? Thanks.

Hi and welcome (I noticed this is your first post)!

I suggest you get The Unofficial Guide 2006 edition. In the book they have touring plans for specific groups. Since you have a small child I think your plan of going early and then coming back later on is great. We went in July and arrived at MK at around 4pm after spending the morning at another park. We were able to walk onto POTC and HM and they still had FP's available for SM and BTM. However since you may want to take your child on most of the rides in Fantasyland I suggest you do all of those in the morning and then take it easy in the afternoon when you come back, maybe do some repeats for your little one or do some 'grown-up' rides for yourself. Whatever you do you will have a great time!

Enjoy your trip! :teeth:
