Hey everyone so i just kind of wanted to hear about what other people have done or are doing in a situation like mine for the CP. I really want to go hopefully next year. The only issue im finding is that my school does not accept any credit for it. So it would be like i would be taking a semester off. I definately dont want to have to graduate late. What has everyone else done if your school doesnt accept credit? My school doesnt have online classes so thats not an option. I just want to here different opinions on this. Thanks!

If your college doesn't accept credit, and you can't take online classes, I'm assuming you'd have to take a leave of abscense/course withdrawl for the semester, which doesn't technically mean you'd graduate later. But you'd have to pack on classes after your trip, which would be totally stressful.

I wish I could be of more help, but I'm not the CP/College expert. haha.

There may be other options though, you should definitely talk to your guidance counselor person in college about it.

Everyone that I've talked to that did the CP program while taking online classes strongly did not recommend it.

It's a pretty busy lifestyle from what I've heard. Unless you have strong determination and stellar time management skills I guess. Haha. :)

My school doesn't offer credit for the program either and only have a few classes left to take, none of which are offered online. I had to withdraw from school in order to do the CP.

Yeah, that seems like the only thing you could do if your school refused to accept credit for the program.

Either take a leave of absence for the semester or enroll in a local community college and take classes online. I took 5 online classes during my first program on top of working 40-50 hours a week. I've always worked full time on top of going to school full time though so handling that much n my plate wasn't too bad. I'd recommend at the most taking three though unless you think you can handle it.

ok thanks! its nice to hear what other people have done. I dont understand why my school wont take credit for it dumb! haha i think ill press on it more with my advisor and if all else fails maybe ill take some summer classes.

You could always enroll in the CP for the semester after you graduate. That way you wouldn't have to withdraw and potentially lose scholarships/financial aid and you wouldn't have to worry about graduating late. That's what I'm doing.
