Advice Needed re:booking park stay after cruise.

Booked a cruise on the Dream for June 2012.(!) We would like to add a 3-4 day stay at the parks starting the day we disembark. We're thinking moderate resort stay. What is the best strategy for getting the best price? Obviously, there is no flexibility in the dates. Should i book rooms online now, is there a chance there would be some kind of a discount in the next 11 months? Feedback is much appreciated!

I've never gone in summer, so I'm not sure how early the resorts book up then or how soon you should get a reservation in, but I always book as soon as I know my dates and then just watch for discounts.

But I did want to toss this out there... I'm not sure if you have cruised before, but I would absolutely book my park/resort stay for *before* the cruise. The cruise is soooooo relaxing... that gets kind of "ruined" when you jump from that to the usual go-go-go park routine. If you can flip them around, I think you'd be much happier.

I agree, I would go ahead and book and then just watch for discounts. You can always call Disney and adjust your reservation if a discount is released for you dates.

I also completely agree that if you can do the park days before the cruise I absolutely would. Getting on the ship after a few days of running around the parks is like this wonderful reward. The cruise is so fun but relaxing and just a much nicer way to end a vacation then going from that to park time then home exhausted.

I would book NOW. that way you at least have a room then if a sale comes along, Disney can change your reservation to the sale price.
