Advice needed on Easter Airfare???

Haven't flown over Easter weekend in years, having "sticker shock"

If you have traveled to FL. easter weekend before, when do you usually purchase your airline tickets?

Should I bite the bullet now or wait and see if they go down at all?

Any advice/experiences welcome.

I have purchased most of my flights either in August or October (when I see a flight that meets my "good deal for that timeframe" criteria - around $200) I check almost daily and also have alerts from the airlines.

I lucked out last year and picked up some from Airtran in January. I think they had opened up a new flight.

I know I can get cheaper flights at other times of the year, but Easter, imho, is generally higher.
