Advice Needed, 2 Studio's Thanksgiving Week Sick Dad

Hi There, Hoping I can get some advice here. I have a birthday trip planned for my daughter that includes my extended family. All arrangements are made, 2 lake view studio's are booked from Sunday to Friday the week of Thanksgiving at BLT. My dad was just diagnosed with cancer and possibly only has a month or two left, maybe more but he's quite ill. I don't feel good about taking the trip, in fact I don't want to go.

I pulled points in from next year from a Feb use year. So I think I'm out of luck on using them before I lose them or rescheduling. Should I rent them? What should I do? Any advice would be great. I am sure I could do some research and figure it out but I'm mentally drained. Thanks in advance for holding my hand on this one.

Any banked or borrowed points would need to be used by February 1st. Any current-year points used for the reservation could be banked into next year. If you want to rent the points, you'll need to get after that very quickly, since there is very little availability and time left. You could try to rent out the reservations, but you can only rent confirmed reservations here within 30 days, which would be pretty risky.

Call MS. Ask very gratefully what they can do for you to minimize your point lost. Maybe 1 reservation can be cancelled and all borrowed points used for the other, then that reservation could be offered to family.

But call MS, they may be able to help.

Your banking deadline is tomorrow with a Feb use year! As the previous poster mentioned, see if ms can put all of your borrowed points into one reservation and make sure to bank any/all current points freed up into next year. Wishing your family peace in the days and months to come.

Sometime MS will do a one time exception and allow you to bank your points late (or in this case maybe they will put them back). Also I believe that David is now acting as a 3rd party for reservation rentals as well as points, so you might try him as well.
