Advice neded. FP+ for MK parade and fireworks?

We are WDW vets. Have been over 40 times and have seen and done everything so I am not concerned about seeing and doing everything on our next trip. I am tweeking our FP+ selections and am wondering if I shoud switch out some of the rides with the parade and fireworks options for MK. Has anyone done this? Is it a better viewing area? Wondering exactly what the advantages are to FP these. TIA

Absolutely! If you can see them now, grab them.

We did this last December, and are realatively seasoned veterans, and loved the one thing that is hard to find during parades and fireworks...SPACE! Plenty of room to spread out, lay down (in the grass), etc. For the electrical parade, loved having the castle in the background (we were there in December, so lighted), and although you are slightly to the side for the pre-firework shows, it is fun to have tink fly right over and have the best perspective for the fireworks...which I often don't stop touring to watch.

It is a perfect use of FP+ for those who have been there/done that at the parks. Pack a poncho to lay down on in the grass (rose garden), a snack to share, and enjoy!

We arrived maybe 30-45 minutes before our entrance time for EP, and were sitting on the curb facing the castle. One row of adults standing behind us. My inlaws were able too find a bench to sit on in the same roped off area.

We are not usually parade/fireworks people, and honestly, using the FP+ is probably the only way I will view them in the future.

1. Thousands have. Some have reported here.

2. "Better" is a relative term.
I'd not say "better." I'd say "more convenient."

3. Parade: Not having to show up as early to hold a good spot.
Wishes: Not being as crowded-in with others.
But, the angle of view is quite off-center (if that matters to you.)
If the grass is not wet, guests can sit on the ground for the show.

Just wondering if these are hard to get. Been looking for FP to wishes for over a month now, we leave in two weeks and it still does not show up once in the 13 nights we are there as a fast pass option, neither does the parade, so just wondering if they are hard to come by or what.

The FP+ for the parade and fireworks were made available for March yesterday. We leave 2 weeks from today and I was able to get our FP for the parade for March 15th no problem. So look again. Also if you are switch a currently booked of for one for fireworks make sure the one you already have is for the same time as the fireworks. My placeholder FP was for haunted mansion from 8-9pm. This allowed me to easily switch to an 8:40-9:00 msep fp.

If you book FP+ for the parade, can you stay in that spot for wishes? I don't like how off to the side the area for wishes is. Trying to figure out if we can just fp parade and then find. Spot more centralized wishes? Thanks

MSEP FP+ was probably the most useful and my most recommended of our trip. Wishes is more of a personal preference, but we still really enjoyed it.

If you book FP+ for the parade, can you stay in that spot for wishes?

Yes, you can, but you are so close to castle much of the show will be blocked. You can relocate after the parade passes, but so will alot of other people. The FP+ for Wishes isn't going to offer you the best viewing, but it will offer you the convenience of not having to find another spot with a good angle just a few minutes before the show starts.
