Hey,
we are first timers as a family (i was there 14 years ago) and i have a 6 year old and a baby who has just turned 1. He would still be eating mashed foods and we would like to only eat in a restraunt once a day, so our options for his dinners is jarred food.
My query is quite simple, do the shops stock jarred baby dinners and what price range would it be ??? we are staying in the Santa Fe

Thanks loads

I think that the sequoia lodge gift shop and the hotel New york shop both sold baby food jars as did the shop at the Studios park next to the baby change facility.
Not sure of the price but a 2-3 Euros I would Imagine? I think they would have been younger baby food jars though 6months up rather than the toddler meals suitable for 12months up.
Could you maybe take some with you.
last time we were there my little one was 14 months old and we ordered soup and rolls for her or some pasta from the kids menu.
Have fun

Hi and welcome to DIS Boards

You could take a trip to Auchen supermarket which is only one train stop from DLP - it is a huge supermarket and you would get a good choice there and would be cheaper than the DLP shops. As already said the shops in the hotels carry a very limited range.

When my DS was little I took jars and tins of spagetti hoops etc with us - they didnt take up much room stuffed in shoes etc in the case. I couldnt take the chance that I may not be able to get what he likes :confused3

All the counter service places do have microwaves to heat the food - hope this helps :thumbsup2

Hi, when we went, my middle DD was 11 months old. The baby facilities were really good. There was baby food in the shops, microwaves in the restaurants and baby changing in the parks with everything you could need. We didn't take much with us either - just some sachets of Ready Brek so that she would be full up in the morning! The garage by the Santa Fe sold bits and bobs - most importantly milk! We also took food from the breakfast buffet like yogurts for her lunch. It's was a lot easier than we thought it was going to be. :)

Hi

We went to Cyprus when DD1 was 5 months old and she was weaned. I was worried about what she'd eat (as she couldn't have gluten or meat at that point being under 6 months). Also I'd heard that a lot of foreign jars have too much salt in them (?) anyway, I took loads of HIPP ones with us - I just packed them in a tupperware box in each suitcase with loads of kitchen roll wrapped around them individually and then put the box in two carrier bags tied up - just in case they got broken. But they were absolutely fine :)

It is a worry with little ones isn't it. We go in just under two weeks and have a 3.5 year old (who thankfully eats most things!) and an almost 5 month old (whom I've held off weaning so far!). I do plan to pack fruit and snacks like Organix pots etc in our cases just in case we can't 'healthy' bits :)

HTH Enjoy your trip :)

There is a petrol station right next to the Santa Fe hotel you'll be able to buy baby food there too. Much cheaper than buying it in the parks
