Hello all, newbie here. We will be visiting (1st visit) in September and we are concerned about the weather, mainly heat and humidity in September. Any suggestions as to type of clothing, hats, etc. Also we will be in Orlando for 1 week visiting mainly Epcot, Magic Kingdom and Universal how many day(s) should we allow for each without being in a rush?

Thanks,
jenna and hank

Weather wise heat, humdity, the occasional hurricane about sums up September in fl lol. Park wise a day for each, with an extra day built in, at universal studios the new potter will possible have larger crowds than normal.

Weather wise: it will be very hot, and very humid, take breaks at indoor attractions/water play areas, take your time eating meals to absorb up at AC! Also make sure you're drinking a TON of water, and wearing lots of sunscreen.

Sept is my absolute fave time to go to Disney, it's hot, crowds are usually low, and the halloween events are the greatest things ever! Even with lower crowds I advise hitting up rope drop, as crowds are EVEN lower during them, do everything you want, and if you then want a pool break take one & come back in the evening to finish off.

For a full week, I'd do 1 day at each park, especially for Universal with the new expansion (make sure you're there early and go straight to Potter area!). Usually I only need a half /three quarter day at AK and DHS, so if you want to spend an evening at MK after AK, or walk over to Epcot halfway through your DHS day (and return for fantasmic) that's definitely a good option!

I'll second what's already been said -
It will be on the warm / hot side. Pack shorts, tees, tank tops, comfortable sneakers / shoes, etc. I usually just wear baseball hats in the parks, or none at all. Usually when I go to Disney it's in Sept. or Oct. Expect it to rain 1-5 times

Expect a short rainfall in late afternoon most days. Heat is warm to hot most days. Been to September 6 times and never really experienced bad weather. Bring ponchos.

IMHO, you need to book at least a one night stay in a Universal hotel. That way you can get two days of front-of-the-line access to all US/IoA rides/shows/attractions. That will save you a LOT of time from not waiting in the regular lines. To fully experience US/IoA plan for 6-8 hours at each park, even with front-of-the-line access. At IoA, bring a change of clothes, you will get wet on a lot of the rides.

Cabana bay does not include front of the line, the other 3 hotels do. Just a heads up incase you didn't know.
