Hi,
We are planning a disney 4 night land/ 3 night cruise for our honeymoon in august. Any tips, ideas, or advice...? Is it worth eatting at Palos? Is there anything else we should be sure to check out?
Thanks :earsgirl: :earsboy:

Yes try booking the land portion seperate from the cruise portion this MAY save u a couple of bucks
also if this is your first cruise i suggest u check out these sites
www.castawayclub.com and www.dcltribute.com
Both extremely helpful

What CATagory r u considering?????

book it 3 nts. land & 4 nts sea. (in that order too, for the relaxing part to be after the hustle & bustle)

My husb & I did this for our honeymoon & it was wonderful. We loved Palo's - highly recommend it. Take 2nd seating - less kids & more of a chance (I would think) to get seated with "like" people. They booked us with other honeymooners and/or couples around our age & no kids. The majority of couples with kids take 1st seating (as we do when our kids are with us).

Definitely see the shows & go to the clubs if you can.

Verandah is very romantic if you can swing it. My husb & I are on it a lot. In the a.m. for coffee/tea - in the afternoon to relax alone after being at the pool/beach - in the evening for a quiet, romantic time alone under the stars watching/listening to the waves.

Partake of all of the 'adults only' areas - restaurant, pool, beach, etc. Enjoy.

I should probably ask, "Have either of you ever been to Disney World before?" My husband and I did the 4 day land/3 day sea, and it was wonderful, but I had never been to Disney World before (and my husband had been several times but before MGM and Animal Kingdom). We left the morning after our wedding, at which point I had been up for more than 24 hours. Needless to say, I collapsed in our room and didn't wake up until dinnertime, therefore losing our entire first day! And the cruise was great, but Nassau just wasn't good. I realize you probably don't have two weeks to take off and you probably didn't win the lottery recently ;) ... so doing the 7 day cruise AND a week at WDW is out of the question :( So if you do decide to do the land and sea, definitely do the land part first. You can relax like moviestars on the cruise portion after you've run around the parks!

We did the 4 day land 3 day sea for our my honeymoon also in August and enjoyed every moment. The 7 day cruise wasn't an option at the time. Our wedding was Sunday night and we had to leave for the airport befoer 5 am on Monday morning. If money is an issue it is most likely cheaper to book the parts separately especially airfare. Since we knew ahead of time we wouldn't really have time to sleep neither of us drank at the wedding (not big drinkers) and dh slept on the plane ride. We did the parks on a somewhat commando style but recognized that we couldn't possiblly do everything. We did all 4 parks, 1/2 day at a waterpark, and some time at downtown disney with relatives and spent the last morning bike riding etc around our resort. We completely skipped PI. I don't think we could have done a week at the parks. We did lots of activities on the cruise but spend more time doing relaxing activities like sitting in the whirlpool. We did not eat at Palos since we enjoyed the different dining room each night on the 3 day cruise and loved our tablemates. I also am not even sure if Palo was operating. We did laundry on the cruise which helped us once we got home. The one thing I would have likely to do differently was have one extra day off at home before going straight back to work. Enjoy your wedding and honeymoon!

Have you ever thought about having your wedding on the ship?
We were at one in May and it was so beautiful!!! You might think about it.
