My apologies if this has been asked. I looked through the FP+ FAQs and didn't see anything.

We have been to Disney World many times and my daughter most decidedly knows her way around the parks - but she will be traveling with her school orchestra instead of us this time.

She was asking me about booking fast passes. She is staying on Disney property and I have gotten confirmation that she will have a magic band...but otherwise, I have no access to her reservation, so i am not able to book any fast passes for her in advance. I *think* she will need to wait until she gets there in April and give it a try then.

Has anyone else navigated this? What is her best bet in terms of trying to secure some FPs? Can she get help at her resort, or should she wait until she gets to a kiosk at a the parks?

TIA!

Whoever bought the tickets should have the ability to book FPs. I would contact them for options.

I would guess she'll have to wait until she gets to a park kiosk. My son went last year as a school trip and they did have magic bands but we had no access to them ahead of time (we asked at a parent's meeting). They also did not use the bands as room keys so the school could make sure the kids were at the parks and not back in their rooms.

My son went on a HS music trip. They did not receive their MBs until check-in (although the organizers did customize them with the kids names). My DS got a MDE account so once they had their bands the kids made FP+ for their park days. Once she gets her band, she can link her MB and make the FPs. Have her make sure her group all have MDE so they can try and get their FP together. They may not have a full selection, but I've found that even day of you can get some decent FPs.

My daughter just returned from a band trip to Disney. I set her up a MDE account and app and she was able to link her ticket(and the tickets of her friends in her group) to it as soon as they handed them out. They actually started booking on the bus. They didnt get the best fp but they did get some decent ones and I was able to log on to her account on my laptop at home and help her adjust some of them. (she is only 12) One of the chaperones messaged me afterwards and thanked me for showing her how to do it. The band director had previously told people you had to stay on property to use the MDE.
She did experience some frustration because she is used to doing disney with a detailed touring plan but still had a great time!

We just did this two weeks ago for my son's band trip. All you need is their ticket number. You don't need the actual ticket or a MB just the number. Then you can set up an account and start booking FP's. We did it for my son and 8 of his friends so they were able to get FP's prior to arriving next week.

Unfortunately for us, the director in charge wouldnt give us the ticket information prior to the trip.
