I've finally been able to get a big family trip organized for this October. The group consists of 8 adults and 7 kids that will be between 8-11. We will be staying in a VRBO rental about 15-20 minutes from the parks. We only have one day in DCA followed by a Halloween party the next day at Disneyland. Four of the kids have never been, so we want to make the most of our trip.
I'm the planner of the group and the family Disneyland expert, but can tend to be a little aggressive (not sure if that's the best description, but it works) in my approach to the parks. I like to go-go-go, especially if we're only there for a quick trip like this. I want to get a lot done, but I also don't want to turn this into a Disney death march, so I know I'll need to have realistic expectations for such a big group.
So for those of you that have toured the parks as a part of a big family group, what has worked for you?
