*Advice for Halloween Party?

I've been to the Halloween Party at Disney World, but am going for my first time to Disneyland's party - can't wait!

I am wondering if there are things I should know? For instance, at Disney World one can make a dinner reservation IN the park having the party and already be inside when the party starts. However, it APPEARS that isn't true in California Adventure (I tried calling, and it seems that all restaurants close a half hour before the park closes.)

So, what advice can all you seasoned veterans give me?

What are some things to see that might be overlooked?

You should have plenty of time to get everything done. Last year, things didn't really start picking up until about an hour after the party started. If you want to do character meet & greets, do those early, because the lines get really long (especially Mickey and Minnie!). Just don't spend too much time in one place, and you should see it all. And don't miss the little show at the end of the night!

Last year when we entered, everyone seemed to stop at the first two or three candy stations, we bypassed those and went down by Ariel's grotto, plenty of candy stations there and no lines, also, princesses were there for a meet and great and we didn't have a line. we looped back around later and hit the places we by passed at first. Worked great.

So is there a map or something of were the meet and greets are ?
I felt like we missed alot of them last year.

I think that they give you a map of the park that has all of the stuff marked, but I can't remember for sure.

We got a map 2 years ago with all the stations marked on it . That was the first year when we went so this year must be even better

Are you able to go to candy stops over and over again or do they control that somehow?

When we went it was as many times as you like! Most were very generous only one or two acted like the candy was coming out of thier paycheck . They have no way to keep track we got more then they could possibly need......oh and adults get candy too

You also may want to bring your own candy bag/bucket. They hand out plastic bags at the entrance, but we did see several torn bags. Don't pass up the bags though, inside is a map with candy stations and entertainment, stickers and a poster (if I remember correctly) Get there early and have fun!!

We loved this event last year and plan to go back again this year.

They have little craft stations set up around the park for the kids. If you want to see everything make sure that the kids have fun but don't take too much time at them. We wasted a lot of time at these.

The whole night was a lot of fun though. You will have a great time.

Make sure to check out the redwood creek challenge trail and the trail that runs through Grizzly River Run. Loads of candy here.

How early should we plan to arrive at this? I believe the night we are going the doors open at 6:30pm?

Can you enter thru GC or just the main gate?

I would get there a bit early , even just to check out the coustumes! Cant wait to go buy one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
