I am so sad! I really wanted to stay at the DLH for Spring Break (March 11-16) but they are sold out for a couple of our days, so we wound up booking the Grand Californian. Is my best bet just to keep calling the DLH every few days to see if something opens up? Are there any particular days that would be better to call on?

Thanks for your help! :teeth:

Yes your best bet is to keep calling, there could be cancellations!!

Although you can't go wrong with the Grand, it is beautiful and in just the right spot!!

I would say just keep calling, but GC is really nice!! You will be "spoiled" once you stay there.

Did you try sites like Expedia, Hotels.com or Travelocity? Disney sells blocks of rooms to those sites so they are separate so to speak. Often when Disney itself is out of rooms, those sites still have some left. If they don't show availability either than I agree with everyone else, just keep calling and maybe someone else's cancellation will be your room! I love the DLH the best but have to also agree that the GCH is pretty incredible. That location is the best and the balconies most rooms have are wonderful. Have a great trip!

Thanks everyone! I have tried Expedia, Getawaytoday, Travelocity and others - all say the DLH is old out! I agree that the Californian is beautiful. . .I guess I want the DLH so much because I remember seeing it as a kid, being mesmerized by it and wishing we could stay there. I should have booked earlier, but perhaps I'll still get lucky. I'm gonna keep trying! :teeth:

I will really keep my fingers crossed for you! :wizard: I so understand where you are coming from since the DLH is my favorite and just so special to my family. When we stayed at the GCH it was wonderful but when we went to Goofy's Kitchen one night I almost cried as we walked by the Neverland Pool! At least you know that one way or the other you will be having a wonderful, onsite experience. Good luck!

I would call a few times EVERYDAY because if they get a cancellation, it will be gone in a matter of minutes....oh, and pray.:goodvibes

I hope you get the DLH!:wizard:
