I’ve searched for FE threads, didn’t see anything pop up. Hoping recent cruisers would share their experience, sort of gifts given & price range. Haven’t participated in a FE since pre pandemic. Appears things may have changed dramatically.

I’m on the waiting list to join one, just trying to get my “ducks” in a row. Yes, I’ve done the ducks on RCCL a few times with GD. Do believe DCL has banned hiding them.

Just DH & me this sailing, was going to skip FE entirely, old habits won out.

In lieu of larger groups we’ve participated in the past, the set up is smaller, 5 cabins. Specific info requested as to “name”, # & age of children etc. That’s new to me.

It’s very specific as to not giving a suggested $ value. Sigh, would be such a help

First, no idea what is now desired. It seemed more simple last go-around.

Second, don’t want to be the cheapskate who gives a disposable sort of thing.

In the past I always did a kit with a disney decorated paint brush, small container of talcum powder and a cutesy note how to use it on CC to remove sand. Plopped it in a reusable mesh bag, some small $ store sand toys, along with cruise specific door magnet I’d have made. Mentioned making them up again to a few people recently, who looked at me rather blankly. It seemed well enough received at the time. Perhaps the recipients were just being kind lol.

Have been looking on Etsy for a cabin gift in area of $10 & another $5 or so on something for each kiddo in the cabin.

Space is a concern, only will have two checked bags for 7 day cruise and 4 days after @ WDW.

Suggestions most welcome guys!

What FE group did you and DH sign up for? Me and my DH had started out doing the adult only FE's, magnet FE and ornament FE. But after our last cruise, we are only doing the magnet and ornament. People in our last Adult only FE gave such cheap and childish gifts to us and not things adults would use.
Most organizers leave it up to the giver as far as how much they want to spend... at least that's our experience. The sand remover kit sounds good.... but if you are giving to other adults... don't give the sand toys. I do like receiving homemade gifts. I normally give things made with my laser or 3d printer. Things people can use after the cruise.

Remember... give things you would like to receive!!! I will be honest... i did give away, even threw out things that were not things we would use or that were extremely cheap.

Go onto Youtube and search Disney Fish Extenders and you could get ideas from that. Hope this helps some..
