Hi,
we are thinking of booking our first disney cruise for Aug '05. We normally stay at boardwalk, and our average spend is $100 per day. Would this be enough to allow on board the cruise?. I guess what I'm really trying to find out is, are there any hidden extras, ie. are the drinks 3 times park prices? average tipping etc.
Any advice would be very gratefully received!
Thanks

Spending habits once onboard the cruise ship will vary widely from individual to individual. Depending on your proclivity to play BINGO, enjoy spa treatments, partake in the more "exotic" drinks, etc., you'll find that you could easily stay within $100 per day or easily surpass this amount.

Some of the "extras" onboard the ships include:

Spa treatments
BINGO
Tasting events (wine and beer)
Merchandise
Alcoholic beverages
Palo dinner, Champagne Brunch, and High Tea surcharge,
Arcade cards,
tips

As Annual Passholders to Walt Disney World I've found that the drinks onboard the Magic are actually much less expensive than those at the parks. Figuring in daily and hourly specials, you can buy drinks for as little as $2.99 each with the "average" probably hovering around $4.00 - $5.00. Of course, wines can range from $4.50-$17.00 per glass or $20-$350+ per bottle.

So, in short, I think $100 per day is easily do-able if that's your goal.
