Hi-

We're going to WDW Feb 6-10. Will be first visit since the arrival of our 4yo daughter. It's also mommy's 40th birthday.

We booked BWV thinking the kitchen and separate bedroom would be useful. Now having second thoughts about distance to MK etc.

Any advice would be great. We know the parks but it's a whole new ballgame picking resorts with daughter.

You will love the BWV. They are first class. No need to worry.

We just stayed at BWV in Oct. with our 3 year old. Its a great location. Our DD views all the transportation like busses and boats etc. as rides themselves. So getting around the World is lots of different rides for her! Although we always visit MK first, DD enjoys many rides and shows at all the parks. You will find BWV very centrally located and you will love the one bedroom villa. Its very nice with a little one to have snacks and drinks so handy and also a great for some mommy/daddy alone time! ;)

Have a great stay!

I found the bus service from the Epcot area to MK to be very good. It might be fun one day to walk through Epcot and take the monorail to MK, of course that will take more time. You definitely will want to take the monorail at some point on your trip. My 3 yo loved it. You will find being able to walk or take the boats to MGM and Epcot to be a nice break from the busses. MGM has some great shows for preschoolers: Disney Playhouse, Beauty and the Beast, Muppetvision and Little Mermaid. Epcot World Showcase is a nice place to wander with a little one. There's lots of fun things to discover. They also have a Princess Breakfast there, and it's a great place to meet characters without standing in huge lines.

My 4 year old son said the following when I asked him which resort was his favorite:

"My #1 favorite is being on the monorail, being close to the Magic Kingdom, and watching the fireworks and electric water show from our room". (actual quote) ;)

Then he said:

"My second favorite is the Yacht and Beach Club because I love Stormalong Bay."

:)

That is straigt from the horses mouth! :earsboy: Can we say future Disney addict in training?? ;)

Why don't you split your stay between a MK resort and an Epcot resort? Then you get the best of both worlds.

The only negative I can say about your choice is the bus ride to MK can be a pain. Depending on what time of year, you might have to share a bus with the Swan, Dolphin, Yacht Club, and Beach Club. But the boat transportation to Epcot and MGM is excellent. :)

The villas are nice, and it's great having the extra space. :)

tink35,
I think you will love the BWV. We stay at the BCV, right across the lagoon from BWV with our 6 and 4 yr old DSs. They absolutely love it. They also like the All-Stars, Port Orleans, and the Contemporary, but, they LOVE the BCV/BWV area.
Short walk to Epcot, rent a stroller, walk to monorail, ride to MK.
Boat ride to MGM.
At night, enjoy Illuminations with a funnel cake and then a short walk back to the resort.
There is plenty to do for youngsters-the pool at the BWV is great with the slide.
You will be happy about the kitchen, separate bedroom thing.
Our boys like to get busy having fun after we leave the resort, and stopping to eat breakfast is not their idea of fun. So, breakfast in the room (saves a few pennies, too), then on to have fun.
Be warned, you may be bit by the DVC bug once there!
Have a great trip!

You will love the extra space you get at a 1bdrm in BWV. We jsut returned from there 12/5 with an 11yo and 5yo. Very convenient to Epcot and MGM. We rented a car so we drove to MK. Can't comment on the bus service. Enjoyed walking along the boardwalk. My kids loved the pool and the clown slide. I really don't think you'll be sorry.
