We will be in Disney May 6-12th. This visit was made kinda last minute and not 90 days out. I have received all ADR requests, except for Chef Mickeys. I wanted to have breakfast there one morning, but they are filled up the whole week we are there. We have never been to Chef Mickeys before.

Anyone have any advice how I might snag an ADR? Should I call everyday and just hope and pray someone cancels? Should I call first thing in the a.m. when we are at Disney and see if they have had any cancellations for that day?

1. Check Dinner times too.

2 If you're a party of say 8, try changing it to 4 and 4. Or if 6 make it 3 and 3 You might not get seated right together but you'll be in.

3. I'd keep calling to check for cancellations. Cancellations go back into the system immediately. They do not wait until the next morning. I don't have a handle on what part of the day is best.

Here's some Pixie Dust coming your way.

I would keep calling-you never know when an ADR will open up. Have you thought about trying to get an ADR for dinner? It's a lot of fun for dinner also.

Keep trying, dont give up :) Even when you are down there! I had a friend that was able to get CRT during a busy time, by calling from her resort room. I am going the same week as you are. We are doing Chef Mickeys for dinner at 7:50. A bit later than we had hoped, but at least we are going :) Good luck!!!!

If you don't mind risking it, you could get there at opening and ask if they could possibly seat you. We made our ADR for that around 40 days out, and by the time the trip rolled around, all the ADRs were gone for CM. But, on the morning I was there, they were taking walk-ups. So there is hope!

I was also thinking about doing this. All they can do is turn us away .

Thanks for all the advice everyone.

If you can't get one ahead of time, try when you're actually on property. The front desk at the WL got us some ADRs last time at the last minute--I'm not sure exactly how that worked, but they did it.

KEEP TRYING! We had an "unexpected" trip come up at the end of May, I started calling a month ago to get reservations...all they had was dinner at like 7:50pm, which is far too late with little ones, so I kept calling and one day I just lucked out and was able to get a 5:30 dinner which is what I wanted.

Who at the front desk did you speak with? I didn't know your resort might be able to help. Thanks for the advice.

Don't give up, keep trying, it is definitely worth it. Have you inquired about every day that you are there starting with 7am (their earliest ADR)? I would let them know that i'd come at any time for breakfast, i wouldn't want to miss out! Good luck to you!

I just got in line at the front desk and talked to whoever was helping people. It was kind of slow there at the time. Maybe I was just lucky?

i have always been there at 7am and got in. they seem to allow for a few walk ins but be there early.

:woohoo: ::yes:: :hyper: I GOT IT! I GOT IT! YES, I GOT IT! Thursday, May 11, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. I called again this morning and they had an opening. Now of course, I have to change around my plans for that day, but who cares, Chef Mickey's here I come! :cool1:

Congrats! It was truly one of the highlights of my trip, and hopefully I'll go again when I go back to WDW in 2008. With a couple exceptions, the food was great (Mickey waffles... I must have more Mickey waffles NOW! :rotfl: ) and the character interaction was wonderful. Especially Chip & Dale. They kept coming back and back and back and had me laughing so hard I could barely eat. :rotfl2:
