Advice for arriving late to MK on a busy Saturday please.

We are Disney vets and I would normally not do this but I can not stand the thought of not visiting the MK at night for our upcoming trip. DH and I should arrive at BLT around noon on the Saturday of Veterans day weekend. MK has evening emh that day, so I know it will be mobbed. Right now we have a lunch adr at Kona for 1:15 and were just going to relax around the resort until our room was ready and not do a park at all (dinner at the Wave 7pm tentative monorail pub crawl ending at TOTWL for wishes at 10pm) We only have the one night at Blt before switching resorts and planned on hitting MK in the morning at rope drop until about 1 pm.....if I decide to skip lunch and have an earlier dinner, we could do a few evening hours at MK. .....not sure which plan sounds better to me. ....IF I go with MK, how should I schedule FP+? All opinions welcome
