Advice for adding days to reservation?

Hi, we wanted to stay for at least two weeks, but I called last nite and found that there were only 7 nites available beginning next December 17. I went ahead and booked the 7, but would like to add as many nites to it as I can. Any suggestions as to how to do this, other than keep calling back? How often would you call? When do you think cancellations might happen?

I booked a preferred site, even though I originally wanted a non-preferred so I could use my AAA discount. But they said there were no non-preferred sites left beginning December 17. At this point, I will either add to my preferred site reservation, or will take a non-preferred if it becomes available.

Any help would be appreciated.

Call every morning at exactly 7am. Here is the toll free number 800-828-0228. Cancelled reservations are put back into the system overnight and are free for the grabbing first thing every morning. If you can't get the next day you want...try any combination for the days you want. Even if you have to piece them together bit by bit. Its easier that way then trying to get the entire week. Once you have all the days you want, it can be combined into a single reservation. Good Luck

Last Easter, I did the same thing. I wanted a few more days and they weren't available. I did the calling and was getting pretty discouraged and then it opened up and actually I was even able to add a day earlier while driving down. This year, similar thing. I needed to add a day to the end of my reservation and nothing was open. I started checking online and got a site in the middle of the night online. i am going to call and merge the reservations together later today. I think you will be able to add the days. The other option I considered last year was staying a few days at a hotel and the others at FW. Good luck.
