A friend of mine is going to be in Orlando for a Friday - Monday in June without a car. She was asking me advice on the least expensive way to go. We usually stay for a week or so in DVC - so I'm not really sure what to tell her. I know you guys will know. She doesn't mind staying at a Value Resort but isn't sure about getting a package because she won't be able to have any park time on her check-out day on Monday. She hopes to go to a park late Friday and most of the days of Saturday and Sunday. She would like to hop from park to park. What advice would you guys give. I saw where there was a 3 day hopper pass that's no longer available - that would've been great!

The least expensive way to go would be to book a Value Resort using the BBY code for room-only. This would have to be done by 4/17/04 since the code expires that day. Value resorts run $74 per night before taxes with that code.

She can get a 3-day PH with PI plus for $190 plus shipping from the gaydays website. I'm not sure what the cost of shipping is.
GayDays.com - WDW Tickets This would give her Friday, Saturday and Sunday to park hop.

I don't think that you have to be attending any Gay Days sponsored events to use the tickets.

Or she can wait until she's there and buy a UPH dropping the last day. The gate price on a 3 day/2 night UPH is $176 plus tax. I think tax is 12% That would make it $197.12, and you can go anywhere w/ it.

If she has any interest in the water parks or DQ, that's how I would go. However, w/ that short of a visit, she might not. But, depending on shipping at the website you mentioned, this still might be cheaper.

EDIT: now that I think about it, would she have to have a 3 night ticket to be able to use it through Sunday night? Or is the 3day/2 night good until midnight Sunday night if you buy it on Friday afternoon? I've never used them, so I'm not 100% sure. I think it would be good (Fr, Sat, Sun is 3 days), but I would call and as WDW for sure.

I've stayed at the value resorts b4. in the past my parents came and we had a car so it was fine. The rooms can be a far walk from the main lobby so I don't know if this is a good place to be if you don't have a car. We are going in dec after the cruise and since we won't have a car i'm not staying there. I need a place that brings luggage tot he room and where the walk to the buses is short. (i'll have 2 kids in tow).
I can be wrong, so if thats a concern check it out.I wanted to help.
