I'm planning my family's first trip to Europe in the end of June to celebrate my son's graduation from the University. Do you folks with more experience than I, suggest that I wait to book my DLP reservations, or take care of that now? (I am thinking about staying in one of the Sequoia Lodge's Golden Forest rooms.)
I've heard that specials come up often, but I'm not sure how often that is...
I'm squirreling away money for this trip now, and I'd sure love to grab a hold of a bargain, if that is possible.

Usually the earlier you book, the cheaper it is so I'd advise you to book as early as you can.
If you're able to, take a look at the German and the French Disneyland websites as well as the English one. They have different offers in each and you may save some money booking through a foreign site. I recently booked a trip for this Christmas that was nearly £500 cheaper on the French website. As the website is exactly the same for each country, just a different language, I had my wife's phone on the English site and mine on the French site which helped with the translation

whichever country's website you look at to book, as a guide you're looking for the equivalent of at least 35% off (so a straight percentage discount, or free nights, or free half board dining, or kids under 12 free if that works for you) as a good deal for a DLP package.

For end of June 2016 the best discounts will come out in 2016 (its not high summer season then, and not yet French/most of European school holidays yet either).

Remember to check in on a weekday, no matter what season of the year, a Friday or Saturday check-in will bump up your price onsite at DLP.

I think you should wait until after the first of the year and that you should definitely book through the UK or French sites. Nothing is mailed to your house, so it's fine to do this, just leave the country alone when booking. We went in June 2014 and were able to snag a free half board dining, which was a good value for our family of 7. Since it's your first trip to Europe, I don't recommend spending too much time at DLP because you'll want plenty of time to see the rest of France! I truly think three nights is plenty if you utilize your first and/or last days for at least half of the day. Sequoia Lodge is a great choice, too.

Thanks so much. I think I'll wait until the beginning of 2016. I'd love to take advantage of a free half board dining deal.
