Advice for 1st time booking cash reservation

I've owned DVC for 25 years and have never booked a cash reservation, except for Swolphin. Thinking of changing it up for a our next trip in mid November and staying at Gran Destino Tower for a couple of nights. When, where, how should I go about looking for the best cash rate? Would love to stay Club level. Don't need a package, have AP. Just DH and me. Thanks for any advice.

Check for a DVC or AP discount. And I wouldn't totally rule out packages, if they happen to be priced lower than other discounts. And it wouldn't hurt to get a room only price through a travel agency that specializes in Disney.

What would I do with the tickets since I have AP? Would I be able to apply them to my renewal or use them for other people at a different time?

If, on the off chance, the overall package worked out cheaper than a room only, you could still just waste them and come out ahead, right?

For Room Only (as opposed to package), the cancellation policy is extremely friendly. Book as soon as you know your dates, knowing that you have full ability to cancel and re-book very painlessly.
