Hello all! Heading for BB at least one day -- the only day I could fit it in is on Friday -- any thoughts, tips, suggestions? Just two thirty-somethings, no kiddies. ;-)

Thanks in advance!

Don't forget to take a hairbrush. :teeth:

My advise would be to stake out a spot for your stuff as early as possible, then just enjoy the day. And be sure to use sunblock, even if it seems overcast (don't forget the top of your ears!).

Blizzard Beach is easy enough to do in an afternoon, so it's nice to have this day that doesn't have to be planned. Just go, and enjoy!

I find water shoes to be really good in the water parks. Maybe my feet are just too sensitive, but the pavement is bumpy. We really enjoy the family raft ride (with or without kids!).

take your own towels I was shocked that admission did not cover the cost of towels. I had to PAY to RENT one.

Be aware that their are lockers scattered aover the park so decide where you will likely call your "hub" before renting the locker.

Consider buying the Blizzard Beach refillable drink mug. It's a money saver in the long run.

Definitely water shoes or flipflops. And for a secluded spot, head to the back of the park - there's a little grassy spot with chairs. (If you don't want to camp out on the beach.) Make sure you hit the rides in the back of the park - I'm always surprised at how many people don't know they're back there! And enjoy - it's a wonderful park. :teeth:

Our ("mature" DH and me, no kids)next WDW trip is May 2-12. We are buying 5 day PHP passes, and will use those for TL and PI. I also have an old pass with one plus left. I have only been to BB once and overall we didn't like it anywhere near as much as TL. Didn't seem to have the same Disney feel...more concrete I guess. We are both willing to give TL another chance if we can get some tips to improve our outlook of the park. We'll arrive at the gate as soon as the park opens. Where should we head first?

If you are going during warm weather periods, and you want to sit in the shade, you need to head for a spot where you can sit in the shade first of all. If you don't get that shady spot when the park opens, you won't get one. They are very limited.

becca, My family loved this park. We found chairs at the wave pool. We hardly sat there. The lines for the tall slides were pretty long. My two sons waited nearly 45 min. We brought water bottles and ate before we went in. I think BB does not open till 10:00. We got there at opening and left at 6:30. Went to mcdonalds for a quick meal. Our favorite part was floating on innertubes around the park, this takes about 20 minutes. I thought finding my way around for about the first hour a little confusing. oh yeah we went on a monday the second week of june

The best advice I have is go early! We try to get to BB when they open, drop our stuff in chairs and hit the slides. You can cover alot of ground before the park gets crowded. We are generally ready for a break (from walking to the top of slides) by the time the lines back up, so we hang out in the lazy river. We are also a 30 something couple with no children. Someone mentioned water shoes, I've not worn them before, but I bought some for our next trip. I don't consider myself to have especially tender feet, but the concrete is rough.
