Okay so I have booked our hotel made our ADR and made very detailed plans for Disney for our 10yr anniversary! I have been so excited! Now I am afraid I may have to change our plans!! I just found out I am very early pregnant!! Is it possible to still have fun at Dis while you are expecting? I told my husband I really didn't want to change our plans...we have already told the kiddos we would be doing disney in October. He is thinking that we should wait ..he wants to have fun with me! :) ?? Advice appriciated!

I wouldn't change plans and here's my reasons:

1) You already told your other kids, they will reason if you change its due to the new kid and be resentful.

2) Pregnancy will limit some of the rides you can ride, but not all of them, and there's lots of fun things to do with the family that don't involve spinning, etc. My wife doesn't ride hardly any rides due to motion sickness, yet she goes and we have fun and so does she.

3) As you know, a baby is very high maintenence. I'd go and have fun with my family as it is now and then in the future plan another trip when the new addition is old enough to participate. The older kids will be able to show him/her the ropes.

All of this is null and void if in the unlikely event you're having a problem pregnancy and really need to be close to your doctors all the time.

Just my 2 cents as a husband and father.

How far along will you be during your trip? I see no reason to change plans if you are under 7 months along, after that, many airlines have policies about letting you fly and like the pp said, you will be limited to which rides you can go on but there is still so much to do there and you will probably need some of that time to sit and rest. You can stand in line with your family if you like and then just get out of line at the entrance to the ride. Probably have to lay off the booze while you are there too :lmao:.

many people do disney pregnant and have a wonderful time. personally, if it were me, i would change my plans, because i LOOOOVE thrill rides, and i can't imagine standing around waiting for everyone else to get off the rides and not be able to do them. selfish? probably, but i want to have fun on vacation too, not just walk around and do the kiddie rides.
also, not to be a downer, but you never know what can happen during a pregnancy, and if you were restricted to bedrest or restricted from flying, it could be too late to cancel later on.

Well I think this would depend on how you are during pregnancy. When I was pregnant with DS I was sick everyday up till the 7 month mark. And then by then I was showing and my feet hurt every night and I mostly sat at a desk at work all day so I could not imagine walking around Disney all day I would be a wreck. But some people don't experience any of that so if you are one of them...
