Hi everyone..ok so this is the situation I have an appointment at the bbb in 2 weeks but I will be running out today to the Disney store to buy my daughters dresses. The problem is one of my daughters insist on being Rapunzel (long wedding dress) but I'm thinking this will probably be to heavy for a long day. Every time we go to the Disney Store she runs straight to that specific dress. So what do you girls thinK? Thanks for your help.:)

Let her have it, and take a change of clothes to rhe park that day when she gets tired of it. It's obviously the one she is dreaming of!

If it has layers of tulle. Cut some of the under layers off.

I have seen brides with big dresses have large clips and you just clip it back/up when needed.

I think my DD has the dress you are speaking about (sleveless one from disneystore.com) and it is quite heavy for a dress up but I would say just go for it! Your DD has her heart set on it and the BBB is so magical, let her have the dress she is dreaming of!!! I would just explain to her that it will be very hot and that she will need to take a change of clothes so she does not get too hot and so her dress does not get ruined. I do this when my DD wants to wear a dress in a less than desirable situation (this is almost everyday!) and at the mention of the possibility the dress may get ruined she will more than willingly agree to take other clothes and change into them when asked to keep her dress good. For any character meets or other photo opportunities she can change back into her dress. Another option could be to take a lighter Rapunzel dress to swap into when it gets really hot during the day, I got my DD a fabulous Rapunzel dress from my local supermarket, it was £12 and is a proper disney one but a lot lighter and is honestly miles nicer than the one we bought her at the Magic Kingdom last year, so nice in fact we went back and bought the Snow White version too! :)

My DD7 wore the previous version with short sleeves last August. She was comfortable and did not complain about it being too heavy or hot. See my avatar pic.

For what it's worth, we just returned this today. It was an absolute glitter NIGHTMARE. Just taking it out of the bag released so much glitter that I spent over an hour cleaning it up. We're getting the traditional Rapunzel dress instead. :goodvibes

Thank you all for your helpful suggestions. I actually picked up the dresses today and super excited. It's actually pretty light. I did get a tip from the Disney Store employee. She told me to spray some hair spray on the dress. This will stop the glitter from falling off. Again thank you all!! :thumbsup2
