Hi all, I'm new to posting although I've been reading for over a year:thumbsup2 I would really appreciate some advice. We are heading to Disney for the second time this December. We went last December for the first-ever time. This will be the last trip for a couple of years. It's just the 3 of us, we will be celebrating our daughters 9th birthday. The first time we went, we had the free qsdp and it was fine, we enjoyed the freedom and researched the best options. We didn't do any character dining. This year, I'm also getting free qsdp but considering upgrading. Our ressies are at pop, 5 nights.

Do you think the character dining, and bbb are worth it for a minorly interested 9yr old little girl? I'm thinking of surprising her w bbb, than eat at crt. Ithought it would be cost effective for us to upgrade to the ddp, instead of paying oop for crt then make adrs for another character dining or two. Opinions on any of this? I'm not quite sure how interested she is in the characters, she has expressed interest in bbb when she saw other little girls , but she only stood in line for Alice & Marie. She is a thrill rider, with a ton of stamina. I feel like it's my last shot at this before she outgrows the interest completely. Tia!!!

I would upgrade and do some "fun" meals. They don't all have to be character, but still fun for your daughter...Coral Reef, Sci-Fi and maybe 50's Prime. Our favorite character meals are Chef Mickey's, Akershus, and Ohana's. We are trying Crystal Palace in November and I'm sure it will be added to my favorites list!

You could do breakfast at 1900 Park Fare if she likes Alice. We had breakfast there in May and it was lovely.

Even my teen boys loved Chef Mickeys! You are never too old for good character interaction.

I have a 18 year old a 15 year old and a 7 year old and my kids love Cape Mays Cafe at Beach Club for breakfast the most. The food is great but if you want to be on the monorail Ohanas breakfast Chip and Dale used to be the characters there but the dinner at Ohanas is to die for. Crystal Palace is great in Magic, Akerus at Epcot for breakfast is good, Tusker House for breakfast Donald is on hand at Animal Kingdom and Prime Time Dine for dinner at Hollywood Studios. These are our usual regulars hope it helps I would upgrade yes it's worth it at least I think o. We eat a good breakfast and a good dinner and skip lunch or eat a snack if need be. Have fun.
