Hey!
I'm going to Orlando in just under a fortnight and I'm absolutely terrified of flying. I was wondering if anyone had any tips for relaxing and passing the time on the flight?? I can never fall asleep on planes so that's out of the question! lol!
Also anyone got any idea what crowds might be like from 3/5 - 17/5?? Im hoping they wont be too bad and only expecting to wait about 25 mins for attractions. Do you think this will be about right??
:D :p

I have a few tips for you.

Bring things to distract yourself on the plane - a good book, magazines, games, etc. I bring a book on my destination so I can read up and get even more excited about the trip. Bring some food and drinks (fruit, bagel, bottled water) so you can snack when you are hungry. I choose an aisle seat so I can stay hydrated but escape to the bathroom easily. I also spend time standing by the plane's back door. Get up and move around!

May crowds are typically light. Arrive at the parks early and do the most popular rides before crowds build. See shows and do fastpass attractions after noon. Avoid the Magic Kingdom on Saturdays (except for Spectromagic - you must see this nighttime parade) and Mondays when crowds are typically heaviest.

Have fun. I'll also be there in May. Did you check out the Cinco De Mayo festivities? Citywalk, Pleasure Island and Seaworld all have special events going on. Epcot has some great concerts and seminars during the Flower and Garden Festival. See http://wdwig.com/ for more information on events.

This is an absolutely wonderful time to visit WDW...after Spring/Easter recess, before Memorial day Holiday and Kids are still in school. Crowds will be very managable and the weather hot but not terrible as the hotter weather comes in the summer months.

As far as the plane...........this is what I do for a long flight...xanax, it helps me relax. Then I have Game Boy and magazines and I always get the movie......stretch out and go to sleep. Wear comfortable clothes (nothing too binding) and shoes (clog type or slip on shoes are best for flying due to swelling from pressure) Try to walk a little....or rotate your ankles for circulation and Drink lots of water...before you know it you will be in MCO!
