Hi I'm due to have surgery on my spine in the next few weeks and have a holiday booked for christmas. I'm unsure of my recovery times but will be bringing wheelchair/walking aids to help me if I need them. What can I expect when I get to disney ? Thank you

Most of the lines accommodate mobility aids, so you'll be able to tour in essentially the same method you would without them.

Good luck with surgery!

Best of luck Ross!!!

I've had 3, 2 fusions and a lami, so I can feel for you. Realistic time to total recovery is 4-6 months on a fusion and a little less for a lami. However if you are experiencing a lot of pain that will be better when you wake up post op!

PT will help and you should be in pretty good shape 5 months out. Just don't push yourself too hard on recovery and slip backwards. Nerves heal from the injury to the end at a relatively constant rate, so from your back to your toes it will slowly progress. I found that remembering how much pain I was in pre-op made recovery a lot easier.
