So... just a follow up question. I read another thread a little about strollers, but should we bring our own then or rent one if we need it. I'm guessing that we will almost certainly need one for a 2 and 4 year old. Someone said DL rents out double occupancy strollers? Is this true? What would be best for our trip? Thanks in advance!

No, DL does not have double strollers, only WDW has those. The DL strollers were great for my 3 and 5 year olds, we rented two (I shouldn't really say rent, as we have a Disney Visa and therefore got them both for free--it's on of the Disney Visa "perks") each of the five days that we were there and it allowed us to get places so much faster. I would not have wanted to walk my two kids through those parks for five days. I know you're only going for two, but I wouldn't walk a two year old (or carry a two-year old) through them for two days, either!! Anyway, the rentals would be totally fine for your two kids and I never once felt like they were in the way or slowed me down at all--just the opposite. There were times (like in Fantasyland) where we parked one place and were able to do several rides before getting back in, so that was nice, but my kids were pretty quick at getting in and out, so we loved them.

If your two year old is really attached to your stroller and it's not a pain to bring it, then you can, but we thought the rentals were nice (they had a shade and a couple of places to put/keep things) and easy to push, for sure. My three year old slept in his stroller a couple of different nights for awhile when he got tired and he did just find sleeping in them, too, so if your little one still naps, they are nice for that.

Have a great time--I know you'll love seeing DL through your kids' eyes!

ETA: No special lines anywhere for strollers that we ever saw--you have to park them before you get in line for rides, but they did make it faster getting from one end of the park to the other (toddlers can walk pretty slow, I'm sure you've experienced :) )

Thanks to everyone for all your advice and suggestions! We're leaving in a couple of hours and maybe I'll post some pics when we get back!

Boo-Skellington, when you go to Fantasyland, hit the Peter Pan ride first! This was one of my family's favorites (and I don't think anyone mentioned it previously?) We got in line for it during Early Entry, and it took awhile to get on. An hour later that morning the line was much, much longer, and seemed to just get worse throughout the day.

My DS2 spent a lot of time in the stroller and was surprisingly patient with it and with waiting in lines. He loved meeting the characters and getting autographs. Since you have a daughter, I would say don't be afraid to get in line for princesses, either. A couple times I noticed we had the only boys in line for a princess (and I felt a bit guilty wondering if it was just ME who wanted to meet the princess!), but when it was our turn, the princesses lavished the boys with attention, and the boys ate it up! It was quite an experience.

DS2's favorite ride was without a doubt Winnie the Pooh, so don't miss that one.

The character he ran to and wrapped his little arms around was...(surprise!) GOOFY! I was so surprised that he even recognized who Goofy was, but he was so excited and Goofy was so wonderful, hugged him and just held him for the longest time. DS2 talked of nothing else for a couple days: "Mama, I see GYOOFEE!" so my softie of a DH had to buy DS2 a little plush Goofy, it was so sweet!

Oh, and there is a height restriction on Soarin', so you will not be able to take DS2. You may be able to take DD4, though. My DS6 just loved it, so I bet she would, too.

PS. Mary Jo, thank you for the awesome pictures of the Fantasy Faire! With two boys I doubt we'll do anything like that, so it was fun to see. Now maybe the Jedi Academy next time...!

I have so much to remember and so many suggestions thanks to you guys! We leave in one hour and I couldn't be more excited. This little board or community of Disney fans is really cool. I'm glad I found it and just wanted to thank you all again for your efforts. :thumbsup2

I keep mentioning this on the board, but go to DCA and go to the Hollywood backlot. They have many performances throughout the day "3 people singing and dancing etc". At the end of the show 3 characters "Mickey, a princess and usually Woody from Toy Story or Hercules" will come out to be in the show, then will go inside the theature where the park guests can go in and take pics and get autographs. Its fantastic way to get character interaction and the lineups arnt that bad. Especially when you want to meet Mickey.

Lots of people dont know this for some reason.
