The fire pit will live to see another day!!! A family staying here long term will be keeping it for the next week. They are in 1926. @JMoss1980 can pick it up there and then coordinate to leave it there again for @proudmomof4 to pick up.

I hate to do it, but I have to cancel my May and June trips to the Fort. My kids have an end of the year concert (three weeks notice!!!) and other activities that we just can’t miss. We will be cutting it close to use up our 4-day tickets.

I think someone had mentioned putting this fire pit share on a Facebook group and it might be necessary (I don’t have Facebook). There are a couple of longish gaps coming up and there are less long term campers in the summer months.

Does anyone know what happened to the other fire pit? The one I have now isn’t the same one I had in December.

I guess my concern with offering to share within the Facebook groups (and there are several) is that our DIS members might get lost in the shuffle. And there is someone on a few of the Facebook groups that runs an RV rental business, really nice lady but, she has been collecting FPs that others leave behind and incorporates them into her rental business.

We will be there May 13th-24th and would be interested in one of the FP's for a few days. I would be willing to hold it for the time we are there if there is no one else to take it. Just wondering how I would get it from proudmomof4 since they will be checking out the day before my arrival? Also, does Fort Wilderness sell firewood or does everyone go offsite somewhere to purchase some? Sorry, this is our first camping trip so not sure how everything works.
