My computer has been acting up, booting me off from whatever I'm doing, shutting down right smack in the middle of things. I gave it to our technician at work to look over and fix. He cleaned it up, deleted stuff that shouldn't be there, added stuff that should. It's working so much faster, he did a good job.
But he said if the problem I was having continues it may be the modem itself and I should call Comcast and have it replaced.
Last night it was working great and then...bam..kicked me off, kept getting the same 'send error report' thingy ( by the way, I'd like to send that error report somewhere where the sun don't shine) wouldn't let me back on. So this morning I take the modem over to Comcast and get a new one, come home, hook it up and it won't let me on the internet.
I call Comcast and got this really sweet guy named Chris. Told Chris he was going to have to talk to me like a three yr old and he did. After unplugging this and unplugging that then plugging it all back in, he got me back on line but now I can't print anything.
To top this all off, Joe called me last night while he was on the way to work and told me he thought he left his debit card in the debit machine that morning. So I called the bank and temporarily deactivated the card and told us to check with the bankthis morning because sometimes the machines will suck the card back in after a certain time.
Stopped this morning at the bank to check and sure enough it had been sucked back in the machine.
But in retrospect, although frustrating, this is all minor crap. An officer that my husband worked with at the prison was killed two days ago going home from work. His shift had just ended, he was on his way home and a trailer being pulled by a Comcast truck broke loose from the truck and hit the officer's truck head on. His truck was demolished and he was killed. Poor guy.
