I just received the email about the adventures by disney and looked in the China tour. I was floored to find out it would be over 10,000 for 2 adults and one child! Are these tours worth the $$$ Is there a cheaper way to tour China reliably?:rolleyes1

One thing you should think about when looking at Adventures by Disney is the total package and experience. If you price out seperatley each component: hotel stays at great resorts, all the meals that are included, personal travel guides and hosts, specific activities for kids, help with the challenges of traveling in a foreign country, travel between stops, etc, I think you will find that Disney is not that much more. And, going with Disney nearly insures a great experience! PM me if you need more info.

FYI...my daughter is a member of Texas Girls' Choir and they toured the Orient in the summer of '06. That tour was anywhere from $5,000 to $6,000 per girl. So I think the Disney price seems in line because it doesn't include airfare.

When we traveled to China 3 years ago it was about $7,000.00 for 3 of us, not including airfare. The $7,000 was for 16 days and included all our meals, 5 star hotels, tours and transportation within China. I'm sure the prices of all this would have gone up in 3 years so $10,000 would probably be about right. If you have the chance to go, it is an incredible trip. I can't wait to go back! If you have any questions about our trip you can pm me and I will be happy to help.
