Adventurer's Club?

trying to figure out how to post pictures. I'm a total goon.

and i can give you MY email to send the photo to -- also that way if you have questions, etc, we can write directly and not do it here on the boards via posts and annoy everybody else :)

especially since i'm not on the wedding boards regularly anymore now that the deed is done! :(

but here's another fun photo for you of one of our wedding guests...

PS. when is your wedding?!!

PPS> goodnight! sweet disney wedding dreams :)

No dates yet... Most likely getting engaged on our next disney trip in June.. so maybe 2 years or so... I live in CT and DBF lives in Jersey, so we have to figure out the living stuff before the actual wedding date.. but I'd say 2 years is a safe bet.

Ps- Did you know on that the statue in your picture has two names... "God with Rod" and "Zeus goes fishing" DBF and I love it.. We usually sit right behind him on the couch. Also.. did you know ( total geek here ) that there is a slot in the "gods'" Right leg that is a coin bank? DBF and I always pay homage when we go there and throw some cash into him.. LOL.

:lovestruc holy cripes.. sorry about the size... but this is my FAVORITE guy ever... here he is playing fletcher hodges... didn't get to see him as emil on our last trip in February... I have so many pix of the characters at the adventurers club playing different characters... they truly are amazing for being able to keep in character and be in a million places at one time and adlib a lot of stuff as they go along. we love it.

i must go back. No i did NOT know the trivia that you know!!! Shame on me because i consider myself an AC club regular but you seem far more knowledgeable!

KUNGALOOSH!!!!!

ok and seriously, an adventurer's life is best when they've had a martini and a good rest... so i'm off to bed!!!

Here he is as Emil Bleehall! LOVE HIM! LOVE the AC!! Last time we were there we had just got engaged and we asked Pamilla Perkins if we could have our reception there, we were half kidding. She said it would be a pretty penny!! Unfortunately, I will not be a disney bride in location but I will be a disney bride at heart! If I was, I would definitely consider the AC for our reception!

i don't think many girls are into an Adventurer's Club reception. It's probably a little TOO untraditional for most people. :(

but i do hope a lot of disney wedding and honeymooners will go to the AC club at least one night on their trip!!! (Or for a stag or bacherlerette party) because then i think they will be HOOKED

KUNGALOOSH!!!

:)

Nikki - hands offa my bleehall! I seriously love him... He is the BEST actor I've seen there.. I almost puked in my drink last year when i was there and *HE* was hathaway! THE HORROR... I could not even look him in the eye.. and he kept flirting with me... ewww.. bring back my emil! There's also another guy that plays emil there whom is starting to grow on me.. he looks like Jim Breuer.. he's great at improv.. when my DBF and I were there last month we brought in a miniature cow that we found in the toy store in Germany ( a miniature bessie ) and the Jim Breuer Emil played along with the whole thing.. it was awesome... sometimes my dbf and I like to sit in the saloon all night long and not do any of the mask or treasure room or the library shows and just watch stuff happen. it's awesome. just *once* I want to go into the walls and figure out how everything runs.:woohoo:

So do we! Last summer we went there three times on our trip and the second two times we just sat in the saloon. They called everyone in to the library and they were trying to get us to go in but we just stayed out. We got a lot of one on one talk with Tish (the maid), Emil, and Pamillia, that's how we got the pic of him and I that I posted and the one of DFi and PP in my siggie. I had a thread all about Adventurer's Club a whie ago, I'll try to find it.

BTW, one of the times we were there on this trip, Emil was a different character too. In fact, they were all switched around. I guess they do that a lot but that guy as Emil is the BEST!!

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but I sent my wedding planner an e-mail about doing a rehearsal dinner at Adventurer's Club and this is what she wrote to me

"And unfortunately, we no longer host private events at Pleasure Island- this just came down the pike recently as a blow to us and we are in the process of updating our information."

Do you think if we call group dining reservations we may be able to do this? I want to know how to make this a possibility. I think it would be awesome to have a rehearsal dinner there.

NO NO NO!:confused3 I simply cannot believe this. I know they do a lot of private corporate functions there.. and have done so for a while... I will seriously re-consider a disney wedding all together (at least that's what I would tell my planner if I had one) if they did not allow functions at AC. I can't even begin to imagine what their rationale would be.:confused3

oh my gosh! there have been rumors for so long that they are going to close the Adventurer's Club. I'm guessing because it costs a lot to run with all those actors. BUT THAT WOULD BE THE HUGEST MISTAKE DISNEY COULD MAKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think Pleasure Island is losing money hand over fist BECAUSE EVERYTHING THERE IS TOTALLY LAME EXCEPT THE ADVENTURER"S CLUB!!!!! If all of pleasure island was as creative and fun and funny and entertaining as the AC club, then it would be PACKED every night!!!!

I really hope they still let people have receptions there! I was reading the thread and texted my DBF about it and he found it interesting (He is at AC right now actually!) Then I reached the end of the thread and read that it was no longer available! We both love the place although I haven't been in forever. My favorite Samantha was the maid at your reception. She's been my favorite since my CP almost 4 years ago lol!

she had everyone in stitches!!!

but have you ever seen 'my' Hathaway? He is so delightfully arrogant and smarmy.

AC club IS AWESOME :)

It will be sad if me and andy are the only (lucky!) ones to have our reception there :( Plus my hope is that if AC club starts booking alot of weddings -- it will be less likely that disney will close the club :(

One of the rumors floating around this year was that Disney was considering creating some sort of nighttime theme park. The rumors varied, but one of them mentioned that the Adventurers Club would be moved over to the nighttime theme park and act as a hub for the evening's activities. It sounded very interesting, especially since my family adores the Adventurers Club. Recently, the rumor mill claimed that the whole nighttime theme park idea had gotten shelved. It was a fun rumor while it lasted.
