We will be traveling in a few weeks with my 8 year old and 10 year old boy....as well as nephews 10, 12 and 16. We have always been curious about the Adventurer's Club at Pleasure Island. We have never been to Pleasure Island as we are always traveling with children. I read somewhere that it was okay to take children in early in the evening. Has anyone ever done this? We the experience good or bad? Also, is the atmosphere really that neat or over exaggerated. Any advise appreciated!!

IMHO, I would say,"yes" take them. I have been many times and it has been a lot of fun. I have taken my daughter and her friend, both are 13 and they had a great time. It, ( the humor) can be PG rating but nothing bad. After all it is Disney.

Personally I would not take young children but teens should be fine.

Early in the evening is usually better if you're going to bring kids. Some kids really get a kick out of the shows. Some don't.

We've never been, but in August we're planning on doing it with my 10 1/2 y/o dd. She loves this kind of thing, so we'll be there early in the evening.

Though I am not a huge advocate of taking children to night clubs IMHO the early shows at The adventurer's club would be alright for children of those ages. I am planning on taking my DS 12 and DD 9 to the forst show during our July vacation, after that though we are just going to browse the shops before heading out. I figure as long as we are out of there before things get crazy and we head out in the early part of the week it should be fine.

I would definately NOT have children or preteens there very late into the evening. The more alcohol consumed, the quicker that PG rating drops!!! The CM's encourage the drinking and some guest can get carried away (infact some can even get carried out!!). The atmosphere is geared towards adults, but I guess the kids might get a kick out of the"show".
