I'll be at Disney later this month for a conference, and am looking for evening activities. I've been to DD before on family vacations, and have taken in the shopping, etc. but not much on PI other than dinner at PYC. I'm intrigued by what I've been able to find out about the Adventurers Club. What do others say about this place?

Adventurer's club is a riot.....even more so after you've had some of the tasty (and highly intoxicating) drinks they offer.
It is the ultimate in adult Disney entertainment. I went to PI the first time August of '03 and actually walked right past Adventurer's club and opted for the Comedy show (also worth a visit)....then my fiancee and I wandered around, stopped in a couple clubs which were cool but not the Disney vibe we were expecting. Then we saw Adventurer's, wandered in....and stayed until close (even missed the MN fireworks :guilty: ).
I dont want to spoil it for you (and also couldnt do it justice if I tried) but between the main lobby area and all the additional rooms with presentations from the club members there is plenty to keep you entertained for hours. Make sure to have a drink at the main bar (wink wink).

It's an awesome place. The shows in the rotunda are as good the main show in the Library. Watch out for Babylonia!!

I went for the first time a week ago, and then just had to go back 2 nights later!

Definitely check it out if you get a chance.

Most people seem to wander by AC or they go in but never make it down stairs. If you stay on the upper level it's a nice place to sit, relax, and chat (usually). Most clubs in PI don't have an area like that. Once you make your way downstairs you'll see that there is a lot to be missed! There are shows in the main salon, the treasure room, and the mask room, as well as the main events in the library.

You have to check it out! It's like the opera - you'll either love it, or you won't get it.

Kungaloosh!

It's sooooooooooo much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kungaloosh!

Adventurer's Club is the greatest club in PI! Be careful where you sit! You just might get pulled up on stage to be part of the evenings "festivities". I was and let me tell you, those 5 cocktails at dinner sure helped my short lived "acting career"!

Kungaloosh, baby!

We went the last trip Thanksgiving 2004 and had a blast! DH is in community theater so when the Professor called him up on stage in the Library he was in pure Heaven! He even received an actual Adventurer's Club button and he shows it with pride!

Okay, so we may have been the kooky parents, but we allowed DS who was 11 1/2 at the time to go in with us. We arrived early (9ish) and left early (11 or 11:30 ish) so the really good shows hadn't happened...well, okay, somewhat which is what told us that DS was growing up by the blush on his face and we decided it was time to leave. He even thought it was a hoot! Now, mind ya'll I feel that my DS is able to deal with things well enough or I would not have taken him with me. Heck, I'm sure there is more "adult" talk going on in his locker room at PE. I don't think he will be going with us on our next visit to the AC.

DH plans to camp out on our next trip so I guess it's a really good thing that we are now DVC members and SSR is our home resort...AC is right across the lake...just a boat ride or walk away!
