Adventure Is Out There! 1st time Solo PTR! ~ Dusting off these PTR cobwebs 8/8!

Ok... 1st off, the change in title threw me for a second... I was like, I am not subscribed to any thread named that... but I figured it out...lol

2ndly, you and I need to meet!!! We are both gonna be at DHS on the 10th! your last full day and my 1st day!

Yeah, I felt like I needed to revamp and reword some of my older posts. I think it's the college thing, you know flare ups of wanting to write cohesive sentences and what not :rotfl:

Definitely would like to meet some DISers. We'll make plans soon!

Hey there :goodvibes Hope you're got room for one more to follow along?

I love love love your plans & your GIFS!! I've just read the last 4 pages and can feel the excitement!! It's great :cool1:

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY for paying off the trip!!! :woohoo:

We love Disney in September :cloud9:

Well, i'm gonna have to live through you since our next trip is two years away :faint:

The more the merrier! :dance3:
TWO years?

That is a very long time to plan and obsess over a trip. I already have a trip loosely planned for August/September 2013. Can't really look into details until I find out if the Salute The Troops promotion comes back for 2013. If it does, we will be living it up thanks to my DBIL's military status.

Read the first line again. It says 1 TS credit. The next part says 2 with a purple circle will be redeemed for CRT. None of the other character meals have the 2 by it.

I've made some changes to my touring plans because of that still, small voice that says to me, "it's just a little more money..."

I'm upgrading my MYW tickets to 6 day, parkhoppers! Ultimate freedom for touring, still taking advantage of evening EMH since I'm a night owl.

I've also added some TS meals that I'll pay OOP because I don't feel like using two TS credits for a character meal.

New and improved weekly touring plan:

9/6, Thursday ~ Arrival (MK EMH 9pm-12am)
7:30AM - Arrive at MCO
8:30AM - Check-in at Pop Century, leave luggage at guest services.
Grab the first bus to the Magic Kingdom!

You do know that none of your adrs are for 2 credit meals *with the exception of LeCellier, but you booked a lunch time so it doesn't count.

According to the 2012 Dining plan, most character meals are 2 TS credits.

We just got back in March using the DxDP. The character meals are only 1credit per person, with the exception of CRT (which is that little purple dot that says 2 on the chart) - that was 2 credits per person. Have a great time!!!

Yeah it looks like the only character meal that takes 2 TS credits is CRT. It has the little purple dot with a 2 next to it.

I am such a doofus:headache:! I didn't even read the entire description. I just saw the little "2" and assumed the worst.

Thank you for pointing this out to me, that will definitely change the way I plan my ADRs, or at least pay for them.

I made the same mistake when we went our first trip in 2007... so we didn't do any character meals... but realized we could later so the next year we did them.

Wow, this sounds exciting! I took a trip solo to Disney World and had an almost identical experience to yours(a stay at Pop Century with Free Dining...and upgrading to the regular dining plan). I thought as a first trip ever to WDW that it would be overwhelming, but being in such a friendly place...it seems like everyone is there to help it seem not as awkward as possible. I look forward to seeing what you have planned and if I can help in any way, don't hesitate to ask! I know you'll definitely have a blast!

It's almost like my first time at WDW because it's been so long and there are SO many changes.
I'm just getting every touring and guide book for WDW that I can from the library and taking copious notes.

I saw that you cancelled your 'Ohana ressie for your trip.

I am also going solo (Sept 23-30) and have a 'Ohana ressie that I am thinking about cancelling. I would have to pay out of pocket (I only have the Free QS dining plan) and am not sure it's worth the $40+ price tag.

If you don't mind me asking, why did you cancel?

I don't mind. I canceled because I finally found an earlier ADR. I don't think I could or would want to wait until after 9:30pm to have dinner. I've been checking every day in case of an opening. Last night there was an opening for 6:25pm. :goodvibes

Hey Disney-inspired,
I just read through your PTR. It sounds like you are in for an amazing trip :) I love your ADRs (I'm a food person). I also love the Disneyworld.com countdown. I have it as my homepage so that I can check it out everyday :). Looking forward to hearing more about your trip!

Hi :wave2:
So glad you are reading along! :flower3:
Thankfully my job doesn't block Disneyworld.com (just the DIS :upsidedow ) so I check it multiple times throughout the work day. :rolleyes1

There hasn't been much going on the PTR front. I'm just playing the waiting game now.

As of July 18th, I have started exercising. Last week I exercised 5 days in a row and plan to continue. I'm trying to go down about 1 - 2 sizes by the time my trip rolls around. :thumbsup2

BIG NEWS TODAY:

MICKEY MAIL ARRIVED!
