Advantage at MCO seriously messed up a car rental for a client of mine. He wanted cheap and knew he would get an older vehicle. They gave him someone else's reservation for a longer stay and a higher base rate. Client admitted he had kids in tow so did not really read the entire rental contract at first, but it took many phone calls from both myself and the client to the MCO location to get his charges corrected. Can never speak to the same person there and those we could contact acted like they didn't really care or said they "don't handle that and you have to speak to so-and-so who is not here today and no I can't take a message." Got this run around several times.
Stuff happens at every business, but a good place will make it right. The names were similar but not the same, other car was a different base rate and rental term and was reserved for much later in the day. When the renter standing in front of you and the res don't match doesn't it make sense to double check things before you print the paperwork and hand over the keys?
They just didn't care and shrugged it off. Seems to be the prevailing attitude for this company.
