Advance Selections - Park reservation change

My in-laws are down at WDW right now and asked a question that I couldn't find an answer to.

They made DAS advance selections a few weeks ago for some evening rides at EPCOT this Sunday. They are now looking to change their park reservation to HS that day to meet some friends. Will their advance selections remain if they change park reservations, and will they still be able to park hop over and use them if so?

Reports have varied. Some folks have lost their Advanced Selections when changing the park reservation, others were able to use the Advanced Selections because they never disappeared. My theory is I think it all depends on when WDW's system does a "sweep" to clear out old information (like old park reservations without tickets, expired tickets, etc.) - and I don't think there is a known timetable for this.

So advice to your ILs -- change the park reservation only IF they are ok losing the Epcot Advanced Selections. Then if it stays consider it a bonus they can hop and use later in the day.

We changed and the Adv selections remained. We did change the last day and then a day later changed one of the selections without issue.

They can do this up to the day before---not day of.
