Advance screening for DVC - Cruella - this Saturday

We are staying this week at BLT and received an email this morning offering a free advance screening of Cruella this Saturday at Disney Springs. Anyone else going? I reserved seats for my family but wondering if it will be worth the time away from the parks. Saturday is our last day. On another note, I have to say I have been enjoying the less crowded parks even without fast passes. We have been to contemporary, animal kingdom lodge and wilderness lodge and all are kind of creepy without the hotel guests/crowds - almost post apocalyptic.

Reminds me of the early December trip we took right after 9-11. Spooky, but very uncrowded - the CMS were so happy to see guests. We got lots of extra attention. A few of them made a big fuss over my then toddler nephew. He came back from the Community Hall one afternoon with a fistful of Koosh balls. My brother said we'd probably never ever have a trip like that again.

My most memorable experience like that was just a 2-3 hour period late Christmas Eve. We went back to DHS after dinner. It was extra magic hours and a huge rainstorm between 8 and 9 PM washed all but the most committed away. There were few people around which was amazing for Christmas Eve. My kids were treated like royalty.

My brother said we'd probably never ever have a trip like that again

My wife said the same thing about that experience.

Mid-trip I’d definitely go. We were at Disney the opening weekend of Ant Man and the Wasp. After dinner, the boys wanted to see the movie, so we went. I realized that there was nothing weird about spending time with my boys on vacation (while watching a movie)

On the other hand, I’d imagine Disney Springs will be super busy on a Saturday night. And I’d rather spend my last night in a park than watching a movie that doesn’t excite me.
