Has Disney lost it customer service, attention to detail, plannning mind !!!!! How in the world im I going to plan dinning res. 180 days in advance when i dont know what park is open when etc etc what was wrong with 90 days. They really screwed the pulto on this one. Im not going to stress im not ok yes im, the only res im going to be able to make at the 180 days is priness dinner royal table/ chef mickey first day and the last day lol. thank you for letting me vent over this... im so not happy i even called and emailed them

This is actually a return to the previous booking window. They changed it to 90 days out fairly recently and are now changing it back. While I understand your personal frustration, the larger window will be much better in. "big picture" sense. With some advance planning it will be much easier to get ADRs now. Disney will also be releasing park dates 6 months in advance now to help with hour planning. Personally I'm thrilled with the change.

Mid October 2010, but some of the 10 days we are staying on disney property but have buisness and want to do horror nights at universal so i will not have clear plan of what days till 90 days out but 1st and last day. oh well i will try to get the ones i want if i can good luck me lol

Disney will probably have their own park hours up before your 180 days reservation, but they aren't going to worry about whether Universal has park hours out ;)

This is what it used to be.If the hours are not out, you will simply have to do what many of us have had to do, make a best guess using previous years and do your adrs that way and then tweek as needed..this is nothing NEW we have done it like this whether it was 90 days or 180 days.

Why don't you just use this year's October park hours to work from? They did change them slightly but it is a relatively good starting point and has usually been quite accurate in the past. We are also going next October and I have used this year's hours to plan more or less where we will be on what day. I accept that whether different park hours for next year change my plans slightly or whether I just change my mind about things over the course of time, it isn't going to totally ruin my vacation. I hope you get all the ones you want.

This is going back to the way it was previously set up and unfortunately, it may not work for you but it works for a lot of people. I'm personally glad they've gone back to it, I made my ADR's yesterday for Feb 15th and got every ADR I wanted at the time I wanted. It was much harder at the 90 day window, at least for me.

It wasn't harder just for you. I HATED the 90 day window. The 180 day window is a great advantage to those of us who plan ahead. Now I know I can get the ressies that I want again and all is right with the world. Thank you, Disney! :)

I have to say I rather the 180 day window, the earlier I can get my plans locked in the better for me!! Perhaps it's my OCD nature..... :confused3!!!
This way us early planners can almost guarantee the restaurants and times that we want!!:rolleyes1

People were mad when it was 180. Then they were mad when it went to 90. Then they were mad when the schedules came out 85 or so days ahead, but you had to book 90 days. Then they were mad that you couldn't book a last minute trip and still be able to get any reservations. Now they're mad that it's back to 180.
Whatever Disney does, someone's going to gripe. There are not Disney people sitting in a meeting room somewhere thinking "Hmmm... what can we do to make planning a vacation as difficult as possible. Lets list our top 5 things and then randomly implement them."

Try to relax - this is a vacation you're planning. Good luck to you.

Thanks everyone for letting me vent:lovestruc

Well Im just excited and want everything to run smooth for my last baby's first time trip. 7 years old woo hoo

Im not much of a park hopper unless its for magic extra night hours i like to stay in the park for the whole day unless its really bad weather.

I love dinner resv. close to 2 hours before park closes or around 7-8 pm if possible.

so i will just have to sit down with this year calendar and pertend its 10/2010 and hope i dont screw up the whole thing .

A CM told me last week that the park hours will be up for 180 days out. Granted, they are known to change, but rarely drastically. I've been told that history is very good at repeating itself as far as park hours.

I was like you the other day, losing my mind over ADRs (our first time on DP is next fall). I am the only planner AND I have to coordinate our plans with another party! It made me feel better to know that I'd have some idea when the parks were open so I can plan our park days and then focus on our ressies.

My biggest headache is not knowing when we'll fly in (SW and AirTran don't have dates for our trip listed yet...) so we may or may not be adding park days, dinner ressies, etc.

You're in the minority here I'm afriad...most people are thrilled with the change! Makes it easier to plan even further out.

Yea if it was only disney not work, visit family, unviseral horror nights i would be happy to have more time to get the dinner times i want but this time, we have to much going on, so yea it made me crazy , but now i only really care about going to royal table time so the rest will be ok im going to disney man the rest im not go :banana:to care about lol
