Advance notice?

Is there any advance notice of discounts, outside of AP/Disney Visa cardholders receiving a discount? I've never watched for/paid attention to discount codes before...

I have only heard of advanced notices if someone "leaks" the information. More like a rumor. Maybe a travel agent would know the information and share it or maybe even some people within Disney themselves leaking the info.

I have never seen an announcement by Disney that says "starting "April 1 free dining will be released"

there used to be a couple of people who did a lot of research and let us know that discounts "might" be coming but nothing was for sure until the discounts went live. a few years ago the discounts did not drop on the exact day they were predicted to and those people who tried to give us a heads up were attacked on the boards because the discounts dropped a day or two later and now they rarely if ever post. So now we are pretty much on our own thanks to the people who got so nasty when things did not work exactly as guessed.
