We are season pass holders and Fl residents so we get to go to Disney about 4x a year. Somehow I missed out on the free dinning did not call for our vacation in June because I did not know anything about it. Is there away to get advance notices?

I would like to know too, they way I do it now is going online everyday at 7am HAHAHAHA

I don't know if they announced this to passholders or not since it requires a package which means you have to buy a ticket. Since passholders already have tickets I don't know that it was announced to them (don't know that it wasn't either).

I get notices of passholder rates but it is usually a day or two after they are actually available.

There is a great way! Read the DIS everyday! :surfweb: :rotfl2:

Actually I have found the best way to keep up with the special offers to sign up for the daily Page Change information at the mouse savers website--umm, not sure if I am allowed to post the link, but Mary is a member here and we often talk about her site and post about needing the newsletter. . . I will post most of it, and if it is not okay, mods, please go easy on me :lovestruc

mousesavers.com (add the appropriate w's)

On the home page, scroll to the bottom where it says "Watch this page for updates". You have to "sign up " with an outside company, but I have been signed up for 2 years and never had any problems or spam because of it. Anytime Mary changes something on the home page it will show up in your email inbox. Most days it is just information about Disney Shopping deals (often good ones!) or things like that, but a few times a year  :woohoo: :cool1:  A GREAT DISNEY OFFER! Worth the 1 extra email a day the rest of the year!

My first suggestion is to check these boards regularly. I always hear about the specials/deals here first. Then I would check mousesavers.com as well. Even if you did this once a week you would have heard about the free dining. As for advance notice from Disney, I don't know.

I called disney today the cm said I could have got it by just getting a one day pass for any of the parks along with my room had I booked in June.:confused3

Yes, you would have had to purchase a "package" with at least a one day ticket (that wouldn't expire until you used it, so you could have saved for later in life).

They you could have had free dining for the length of your stay. But CM's will not VOLUNTEER this information--you have to know the code. That is where mousesaves and this board, especially the Code and Rates board come in handy. Don't even book a trip until you have checked these sites.

It isn't advance notice, but it is notice.

Mousesavers.com has a set-up with ChangeNotes.com where you can be notified whenever Mousesavers is updated. It's a great way to keep in touch, but reading DIS regularly will also benefit you a great deal as well.

Definitely be reading this board frequently (in particular the codes and rates subforum) and do check out mousesavers.com and sign up for the newsletter.

I agree that mousesavers.com newsletter is the best! Since you are also in FL and already have passes, I just wanted to mention one thing - the free dining package was based on "rack rate" at the resort, so you would not have been able to use any FL Res room rate special that might be going on for your dates.

I've noticed that you have to price the entire deal out each time to see which is really the best way to go - since with this deal you had to buy at least a one day ticket for every one in your party PLUS pay rack rate for the room for the free dining special, you might have ended up actually spending more $$$ (depends on where you stay, how many people, etc.) As a FL Res, you might look into the DDE for meal savings, if you don't already have one :Pinkbounc
