Advance FP+ picks WITH a MB, but WITHOUT an onsite stay?

I saw this on easywdw:

A MagicBand is the key. With a one-night stay on-site, guests receive a MagicBand. That MagicBand can be connected to your My Disney Experience account. Connect your theme park tickets and you’ll be able to select FastPass+ experiences for each day of the theme park ticket, regardless of whether you’re staying on-site during that day/night or not.

We stayed onsite in November. Our MBs are good for 3 years.

Let's say I'm staying offsite in March. If I
- buy 6-day tickets
- connect them to MDE, and
- connect my MBs to MDE (which theoretically should still be connected to MDE from our November stay)...

can I get advance FP+ picks?

Anyone tried something similar, without a one-day onsite stay?

As long as you continue to have valid park admission link to MDE, you can make FP+ selections up to 60 days prior to the day of use.

We have APs and MagicBands from a prior stay and I have made (and used) FP+ selections for times when we just visited for the day.

As long as you had a previous resort stay where you got bands, yes, you're still in the system and can continue to book in advance. You don't need to have another onsite stay to do it again.

It's just where a guest has NEVER had a qualifying onsite stay that they're not able to do this yet.
